Die~Namite Sweet Valentine Treats

Hello Everyone!
Last night my son asked me if I could make him some Valentine treats for some co-workers.  Of course I said yes, despite the fact that it was 2 days before Valentines day!  So I needed something quick and easy, yet still packing a big punch.  I just received some DieNamites dies in the mail, some of which were heart themed.   I got out my Big Shot and went straight to work.

I just love how these turned out!  Best thing is I was able to put 7 of them together in a couple of hours.  Here is a picture tutorial of the project~

For this project you will need a scoring board ( I used my Stampin' Up Simply Scored), red and white cardstock, red Glimmer Paper (SU), dimensionals, designer paper, heavy duty tape, and of course a die-Die~Namites Heart Bouquet die.  I also used Stampin' Up's large oval punch and a square punch, a stapler, clear stamp sentiment, Memento ink,  and some ribbon.

Start by cutting (2)  5 1/2" x 2 7/8" pieces of red cs.  Score one end of each piece at 1/2" and crease.

Add adhesive to the outer edge of one piece of cs.  I used 1/4" Scor- tape.

Adhere your 2 scored ends of cs together; do not overlap them completely.  Only overlap about 1/2 of the flap.

Cut your white cs to 4 3/4" x 2 5/8" and adhere to a red panel.  Cut your dp to 2 1/2" x 3" and adhere to lower portion of white panel.  Using an oval punch, punch through the red and white layers of the front of your treat holder, as shown.

Line up the top edges of your front and back panels of the treat holder, insert into the oval punch and line up the punch oval with the oval you have already cut on the front panel.  Punch through this oval to punch the back panel.

Now you can decorate the front of your treat holder.  Using coordinating dp, cut a banner approximately 1 7/8" wide.  You can notch the dp to make a banner with a punch, die or free hand it.  Next, die cut the Heart Bouquet from white cs.  punch all of the little pieces out with the exception of the 3 biggest hearts.  Adhere die to your panel, making sure that you glue the 3 hearts so they do not fall out of the die cut.  :)  Then die cut the Heart Bouquet out of Glimmer Paper and punch the 3 large hearts out.  Using dimensionals, adhere the hearts to the white hearts that you have already glued down.

Lastly, stamp your sentiment ( I used Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Valentine Critters) and cut it to an appropriate size banner.  Mine is between 1/2" and 5/8" wide.  I notched the ends with a square punch.

These mass produce very easily and FAST.  I am not at all fond of mass producing and these were painless!
Hope everyone is staying warm in this rough winter weather.  Have a blessed week!
