Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday!
You may have noticed that there was no new SugarPea Designs Challenge last week. This was due to the new releases that were being previewed all week. I hope you had a chance to check it out! There are some adorable new sets- can't wait to get mine!
On another note, a sadder one (at least for me), this is my last challenge card for SPD as a DT member. Our term is up and a new group will be inspiring you next week.
Once my MOJO returned, this card came together super fast and easy. I used this week's sketch~
This background was made using the shaving cream technique. I made it over the summer at a crafty retreat. I then colored the image and cropped much of it out to come up with a smaller circle to fit the sketch. This sweet stork is from the Bundle of Joy Stamp Set.
The background panel is cut with- you guessed it- the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles. They have to be one of my best purchases, LOL! The sentiment was stamped on a banner cut with the Stitched Flags Die Set.
Check out the rest of the team's amazing inspiration HERE on the blog and then why not leave them a little love and say good bye as this is their last challenge as part of the team as well.
As always, if you participate in the challenge, you are entered to win a gift certificate to the SPD store!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a creative week!
Lee Ann :)

Chicken Little
Hello All!
Are you back into a school routine yet? I want to know if we even had a summer!? Summer? What Summer? Yep, the school year has started off with a bang!
I am finally getting a bit of MOJO back, at least enough to get DT projects done.
This week at Addicted to Stamps, the challenge is CAS! I know a lot of you out there are CAS fans, so this is the week to join us.
I COULD. NOT. WAIT. to get this set! It was backordered for quite some time, but I finally got it and inked it up. This is the Get Well Critters Stamp Set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
He is colored with Copics and popped up on dimensional tape. I used a Scribble Circle Die from PTI to back the image, followed by a bit of red cs. A tiny bit of bling finishes it off!
I was inspired by the sketch at retrosketches~
And colors by Inkspirational- Primary Colors
I am also linking up to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #7~
As well as Tuesday Throwdown-CAS
We hope you can join us at Addicted to Stamps! Check out the rest of the DT inspiration and then link up your CAS creation!
Blessings,
Lee Ann :)

Finding Comfort with a New Creative Worship Release
Hello Everyone!
I have been a bit MIA last couple of weeks. School has started and if you are a school employee or parent of a student, you know how crazy the first couple of weeks can be. I have also been having to deal with some medical schtuff, which is never any fun. Then there is the issue of MOJO, or lack thereof. [sigh]
But, I was able to create a card using a brand new Creative Worship Stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. And so timely, I must say. I can allow myself to really get down with all that is going on in this country, this world, my life. But it took using this stamp set, My Comforter, and the sentiment set, The Future, to remind me of some basic truths.
I used soft colors and a doily to make a peaceful background for the image. I used my Misti for perfect alignment of the sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge
Hello!
Wednesday has rolled around again and I am back to school- sigh.... But, as luck would have it, there is a great new challenge up at SugarPea Designs!
This week's versatile sketch caught my eye~
I love the greenery in the Funky Wreath Spring Addition Stamp Set; I used it to create borders along my center panel. The top and bottom panels are sponged, the sentiment heat embossed in white. For sparkle, I added SU's Dazzling Details to the greenery.
Check out the rest of the Design Team's inspiration and then join us! You have a chance to win a gift certificate to the SPD store with each entry.

Make Your Mark with Scribble Flowers
Hello All!
It is amazing how quickly every two weeks rolls around, LOL! It is time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. This week, we are asking you to Make Your Mark!
Truth be told, I am seriously missing my mojo these last couple of weeks. I think it is because I have been so busy trying to get all the things done on the 'to do ' list before the school year started.
Simple seemed to be the way to go with this card. I did get some inspiration from a few challenges- the sketch is from Sketch Saturday~
And the colors are from The Paper Players~
When mojo is no where to be found, I always look to challenges to at least point me in a direction.
I used the new Scribble Flowers Stamp Set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and die cut them out with the matching dies. The sentiment is from the Get Well Critters Stamp Set.
Have a blessed week!

Scribble Flowers- Another Take
Hi All!
Are you scrambling to get things done as the kiddos are getting ready to go back to school? School starts next week and this week has been jam packed with appointments and all of the things that have not gotten done yet this summer. Phew!
I took time out to play around some more with the newest stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, Scribble Flowers.
4 sets were used, along with a lot of masking. I started with the leaves from the Scribble Flowers Stamp Set. Next, I added the snail from the adorable Buggin' Ya Stamp Set. I masked Mr. Snail off and added another leaf sprig behind him. Lastly, I added the whimsical flower.
I have to admit, the bee was added because of a whoops. :)
I finished off the card with a sentiment from Punny Fruits and Veggies Stamp Set that I stamped on the sun from the Happy Happy Stamp Set.
I am linking this up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Let's Go Wild
And The Paper Players-
And Just Add Ink- they have a really cool inspiration photo this week!
That's it for me! Off to complete some more tasks!
Have a blessed week!

SugarPea Designs Wednesday and Dragon
Hello and Welcome back to Wednesday and another SugarPea Design Challenge!
This week's challenge inspired me to use pattern and color- and banners.
I wanted to make a 'boy' card so used the Blow Me Away dragon and some good 'boy' colors, orange, blue and red. The dragon is watercolored - so sorry this photographed so poorly. It is red irl, not pinky. Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies were used to cut the panels. My banners were cut with the new Party Banner Duo Dies. The sentiment is from the new Celebrate All the Things Stamp Set.
Check out the rest of the inspiration from the rest of the team and then link up YOUR creation HERE!

Guest Designing with Happy Little Stampers
Happy Saturday, All!
Mixed Media is definitely not my forte, so imagine my surprise when I won the mixed media challenge at Happy Little Stampers in June!
I was delighted to be asked to guest design for August, with the challenge being 'Metal'.
I tried lots of different things for this challenge as I really was without inspiration to go in any one direction. Sometimes the direction you are to go in is practically spelled out for you and other times not so much! Anyway, I ended up using chunky metallic gold ep from Stampendous.
My main panel was one I had lying around on my desk; I had played around with some Ken Oliver Colorburst Watercolors on mixed media paper. It looked like a good start for this project.
My Winnie and Walter Triangle Stencil had yet to be used and was perfect for adding a geometric pattern with clear embossing paste. While the paste was still wet, I dropped a few strategically placed bits of embossing powder into the paste and hit it with the heat gun.
The panel was reinforced with another piece of cardstock behind it and then cut to fit my card front. I determined the placement of my sentiment and then cut a strip from the mixed media panel to accomodate the sentiment. The sentiment, which is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' New Beginnings Stamp Set, was perfectly placed using my Misti. Mixed media panels were adhered with dimensional tape.
The butterfly die cut was heat embossed with the same metallic gold ep and adhered to the card with dimensional tape.
I hope I have inspired you to head over to the Happy Little Stampers blog and check out all of the inspiration and then get out your supplies to play along!
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps August Release!
Hi All!
Have I told you that am designing for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps again!?! Korin is the sweetest, most genuine person, and she has such sweet stamp sets. I just couldn't stay away! I am thrilled to be back on the team of talented ladies and am even giving Bible journaling a try!
Today's project is not Bible journaling, but a card, made with the newest release, Scribble Flowers~
These flowers just screamed 'bright' to me. I did a lot of masking to create my bouquet, then added dimension by popping up a second orange flower over the first and adding a couple of green sprigs with dimensional tape. Both flowers and background are colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the Leaf Silhouettes Stamp Set.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!
