Wrapping up Christmas with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Hello and Welcome to the Last Day of September!

Hard to believe we are knocking on the door of Halloween!  At Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, we are wrapping up our month of new Christmas stamp sets.  I am featuring Receive the Savior on this CAS card.

I love this little nativity scene; it reminds me of the little plastic snow globes I used to have as a kid.   And the little plastic nativities with silver glitter on the roof...fond memories!
The background is masked and sponged (sky) and colored with Copics (nativity and foreground).  I heat embossed the star from the Welcome Jesus Stamp Set.  The sentiment is also from this set.

I am linking up to AAA Cards- Game 74 Masking

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hey Everyone!

Just a quick post to share this card I made for the latest sketch at SugarPea Designs.  I have been itching to ink up this image from my newest SPD set, Everyday is Christmas

My MOJO has been on vacation again, but I was determined to use at least one the the sketches for September.  The image is colored with Copics.  The ornate mat for the image panel is from Crafter's Companion and was gifted to me by me sweet friend, Giovana.  Thanks, Giovana!

Holidays with Addicted to Stamps

Hi Everyone!

It is time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.  This week's challenge is 'Holiday'.

As I have made lots of Christmas cards already, I decided to go with Thanksgiving this week.
The image, Falling Leaves, from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, is heat embossed in Tarnished Gold ep.  I added a watercolor background using my Colorburst in Turquoise.  The sentiment, from the Autumn Mum Greetings Stamp Set, is heat embossed in Early Espresso on vellum.
Hope you can join us!  Check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration, then link up your card HERE!

Inspiration from The Challenge

Hello and Welcome back to another challenge from The Challenge!
This week it is all about an inspiration photo.  I was inspired by the colors of the flowers.

I was pretty stumped at first, not because I do not have a pineapple stamp or because the photo is not inspiring, but because of a continued lack of MOJO.  Here is the inspiration photo~

I used the awesome Scribble Flowers Stamp Set for my card.  They are diecut out with the matching dies.  I stenciled a background, sponging orange inks.
So put on your thinking caps, it is time to be inspired by this pineapple vase!  Check out all of the inspiration from the rest of the team, and then link up your creation HERE.

A Penguin Selfie

Hello, Hello and Welcome back for more Christmas inspiration from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Today we are featuring the cutest set from Diane Zechman, Holiday Hugs~

Seeeeee!???!  Isn't he cute???

I have been wanting to try the "Selfie" tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers and this was the perfect image to do it.
To make my scene, I drew in some snowy hills, added a tree from the Forest Silhouettes Stamp Set, and a pine branch, using the new, Christmas Pine Stamp Set.  I sponged in a sky and colored the penguin with Copics.  Dazzling Details and glitter were added to the pine boughs and tree for icy sparkle.

Anything Goes Christmas

Hi Everyone!

Hope your week is going well.  We have a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and this week it is everyone's favorite, Anything Goes~

Christmas and CAS were my go-tos this week.  I sponged a background  and then heat embossed the pine branch from the new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Set, Christmas Pine, in gold ep.  I spritzed the background with water and then spritzed with watered down white acrylic paint.  Added the sentiment and then more watered down paint.  The sentiment is from Vintage Ornaments.
Hope to see you in the gallery! You can check out the rest of the design team inspiration, then link up your creation HERE!

Colors, Cupcakes and The Challenge

Hello and Welcome back to another challenge at 'The Challenge'!

This week is all about colors and the ones Lesley selected are wonderful!

Here are those amazing colors!

This Unity image is colored with Copics.  Nothing fancy here as I am still waiting for my MOJO to return from where ever it has gone.  Until then, I am relying on inspiration from other places.  Today's card was inspired by the MOJO Monday sketch this week~

I am also linking up to Seize the Birthday~ 'Anything Goes',
and 'Just Us Girls'- 'Use Sequins'.  Seems I can not NOT use sequins these days, LOL!

Have a blessed weekend!

Sweet 'n Sassy Country Pine

Hello, and Happy Friday!

We continue to feature the new Christmas release over at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  This week's stamp set was right up my alley.  I love trees, leaves, etc so the Christmas Pine was a 'must have'.

The sentiment is from the new, Christmas Borders set; it is stamped in red and embossed in clear ep. I thought a bit of holly and mistletoe would be perfect for a little variety in my spray so I used one of the border stamps in the Christmas Borders set for that as well.  The kraft background was done with the second sentiment in the Christmas Borders set.  The pine boughs and pine cones are done with the new Christmas Pine set.   I used the smaller of the two pine boughs and the smallest of the 3 pine cones.
I am linking  this card up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- 'use stamps',
and Just Add Ink- Just Add 'P' (Pine cones and Pine branches).

Thanks so much for stopping by- have a wonderful weekend!

We're Back!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Labor Day Weekend for those in the U.S.!  I am looking forward to completing some projects and hopefully finding my MOJO!  Challenges really do help me be creative in ways I would not have thought of.  I miss so many challenges over the summer when the teams are taking a well-deserved break.
I am happy to report that The Challenge is back!  We are starting out this season with a sketch~

As you can see, I flipped the sketch and used some of that fabuous plaid paper from Lawn Fawn.  The sweet image is from Unity.  Crystal Effects gives the dome a nice shine.
Check out the inspiration from the rest of the team, then link up your creation HERE. Can't wait to see you in the gallery!

Blessings,

Hi Everyone, and Happy Friday!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is showcasing their brand new Christmas stamp sets this month.  Today we are highlighting Receive the Savior and Christmas Borders.

I used both sets on this card, along with the masking technique.  Everything is colored with Copics.  Texture was added to the background using alcohol and bubble wrap.
Head over to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog for more inspiration!
