Me Again! 

Hard to believe I have a third post in a week after such a long hiatus!  I love the colors at Sunday Stamps so had to make a second card for their challenge.  

I love this sweet girl; sadly, she is retired.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut her out.  The background is stamped with this awesome background Starburst stamp from IO.  I stamped it in orange ink then cut a panel out using the Crazy Stitched Rectangles from IO.  

Once I determined the placement of the girl, I used my MISTI and stamped her again on the background.  I determined the placement of the sentiment and stamped in with Versafine Black ink.  The girl was popped up on dimensionals and placed on the outline image on the card.  Enamel dots finish off the card.

Lunch Plates

 Hello!  

I am back again with another fall and food themed card.  I am loving the Spellbinders Dish It Up Dies and had to use them on another card.  

I know I am not the only one always asking friends to go to lunch!  I mean, it's a favorite activity!  I thought these dies would work perfectly for a friend 'let's go to lunch' card. 

 A place setting seemed to be the perfect way to go and there is a lot of inspiration online as far as place settings go.  This time I used Mirror Gold cardstock for my utensils from the Dish It Up Die Set.  I also used the Mirror Gold cs to make a gold rimmed plate and a gold salad plate.  The gingham plate was done with my favorite background stamp, Gingham from IO.  My leafy sprigs are made with Spellbinders dies, but they have been retired.  These dies are similar.  

I die cut these sprigs in every color cardstock imaginable, but nothing looked right.  I finally found a piece of discarded alcohol inked Yupo in pretty fall colors.  I die cut a set of sprigs, then placed a cs die cut offset behind it to give it a drop shadow appearance. A little bit of gold thread and a few sequins add more sparkle. 

I used a doily as a place mat.  This card base is another one that I have recycled from a disassembled card.  I may have not done any card making in the last few months, but I have disassembled a LOT of them!  Let's Do Lunch is a sentiment from a retired IO stamp set.

Fall is for Pumpkin Pie!

 Hello and Happy Fall! 

Yes, I have been absent for quite some time.  I have had to reprioritize life and in addition, I lost all interest in crafting.  But today, I finally had a desire to craft!  And apparently it is World Card Making Day.  So, I sat down and made some food and fall themed cards.  

I am a sucker for pumpkin pie,.. or maybe I should say whipped cream with a bit of pumpkin pie!  My slice of pumpkin pie is made with Spellbinder's Serve a Slice Dies.  The plate and fork are from the Dish it Up Dies from SB.  I used lots of scraps and recycled card parts for this card.  The pumpkin filling was made with an old distress inked piece of paper that I sponged more color onto- I used Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  I splattered it with a bit of water using the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer for a bit of texture.  The two strips of patterned paper and white cs are also out of the scrap pile and the card base is a recycled base from a card I disassembled.  I used Mirror Silver CS for the fork.  My sentiment is from the So Grateful Stamp Set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.
