This first card was so much fun to design and color.  I used the new Reflections and Floral Border stamps from Rita Barakat.  The sentiment is from Wildflowers.
I started by creating a reverse mask of the girl's face- I wanted to leave her hair out.  Once I determined where I wanted the girl, I adhered the mask to the panel and stamped the face; my MISTI helped me to get the image where I wanted it.  The Flower Border stamp was stamped in a way that it mimics her hair.  The Floral Border was added to the bottom of the panel as well, and then masked and stamped again to fill in some areas around her neck.  I did some masking with the Wildflowers stamp to get my sentiment.
Then the fun began as I started coloring everything.  The only other things I added were a couple of vine die cuts and a twine bow.  And some Wink of Stella.

Next up, a little mixed media~

This time I let her keep her own hair!  :)  The Reflections stamps was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped.  I loved the 'dots' in her hair and mimicked it with the Circles Make Circles 'A Colorful Life' Stencil.
The background was made with distress inks; they were smooshed onto my craft mat and spritzed with water. Next, I dragged mixed media paper through the inks, drying in between each pass.  Once I had the desired look, I added texture with the Circles Make Circles stencil and clear embossing paste.
Keeping with the circle theme, I cut the girl out with a circle die.  Then, Stripes! Had to change it up and added a striped edge.  And some sequins.  And a heat embossed sentiment
Now hop on over to Cheri's blog for more new stamps!

Thanks for stopping!  Enjoy the hop!
