Purple Peonies

 Hello and Happy Sunday All! 

I hope you have been having a relaxing weekend.  The school year is looming before me and I am needed to get my ducks in a row.  So what do I do?  Play! 

Purple.  A color I avoid.  Not sure why, just not my go to.  So, I needed to use it!  This stamp, Peonies, by Impression Obsession is actually a slimline image, but I chose to only use a part of it for a regular A2 card.  It is a very detailed image, so rather than stamping it in black, I chose to stamp it with distress inks and color in with them as well. 

To start, the flowers were stamped in Shaded Lilac Distress Ink on Canson Water Color Paper.  I moved the color around a bit with a water brush.  Once dry, I started adding more color with Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks.  

I used my MISTI for stamping which allowed me to keep placing the paper back in the MISTI and restamping.  The final stamped color for the flowers is Wilted Violet.  

The leaves were stamped with Crushed Olive and then colored in using Crushed Olive, Forest Moss, Iced Spruce and Pine Needles.  

The Thanks sentiment was added and colored in with a Sakura Pigma Micron Pen.  I added black acrylic paint splatters.  Once dry, I added SSS Moonshine Sequins for sparkle.
