It's Fall at Impression Obsession!

 Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Day 1 of the September Impression Obsession New Release Blog Hop.  This month it is all about fall, which I love!  If you came from Laura Williams's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, head over to the Impression Obsession blog for the start of the hop.

Each day (September 6th and 7th) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.  We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession $25 gift certificates to the IO store.  The more you comment (one comment per post per day) the greater your chances of winning.

All comments for each of the hop days will be open until Monday, September 13th at 11:59pm.  Winners will be announced Tuesday, September 14th on the IO blog.

It's that time of year for all things fall and Halloween.  I'm not too much into the scary stuff, so this Frankenstein is more cute than scary so he was perfect for my stash!

The image was stamped with IO Black Ink and colored with Copics.  I then fussy cut around the frame and mounted it to some black cs.  The background panel was done using distress inks, using the smooshing technique.  Using my craft mat, I smooshed some distress ink onto the mat in a couple of different colors and then spritzed the ink so the ink beaded up.  Then I pressed Mixed Media Paper into the ink and dried it with a heat tool.  I repeated this process until I was happy with the layered ink look.  I used mixed  media paper versus watercolor paper because it gives you spottier results.
A couple of strips of cs,  the image panel, and the background panel were adhered to the card base.  The sentiment, which was stamped along the edge of the card using my MISTI, is from the Spider Trio Stamp Set.  I finished off the card with a squiggly black line made with a Pigma Marker around the card and some black sequins.

Next up, some pretty sunflowers and pumpkins.  One of mjy favorite things to do in fall is head to the pumpkin patch!  This new Sweet Sunflowers Stamp brings back memories of those pumpkin patches and sunflower fields.  I stamped the image twice in IO Black Ink along the edge of this watercolor paper.  The images were water colored with Ken Oliver Color Bursts.  I threw in a bit of pink to change things up a bit.

The sentiment, Love You Always, was stamped with IO Black ink using my MISTI. I splattered a bit of watercolor paint onto the panel and added a few sequins to finish it off.

You can find the entire new release HERE.
