Geranium Joy

 Hello Friends!

I have been revisiting older stamps like this Geranium from Unity Stamps.  It has not seen ink for quite some time.

I have also been trying to use bits and pieces sitting on my desk, such as the scalloped patterned paper.  It was the perfect green for the card.  I colored the image with Copics but kept it very loose to give it a bit of a watercolored look.  The image was then fussy cut out.

The sentiment is from SnSS, now known as Creative Worship Stamps.  I stamped the 'count it all' on a strip of paper and then stamped the 'joy' separate and fussy cut it out.

The background panel was in my stash- made with a stencil and distress ink, using the reverse stenciling technique. Everything was assembled- scrap paper was used to pop up parts of the flower.

A few SSS Moonshine sequins finish the card.

I am linking up to the following challenges~

  2. I think your idea to use older stash and bits you've left behind, is working perfectly - I absolutely love your design, especially how you've placed the scallops. Thanks for joining in at Inkspirational.
