Hello and Welcome back to Wednesday and Freshly Made Sketches! Today's sketch is
by the amazing Jen Timko.
Here is your perfect, basic sketch with lots of room for making it your own.
I used a couple of different Pinkfresh Studios stamps for this card. Their challenge this month was to 'mix it up' so I mixed up two stamp sets- Lush Greenery and apparently a set that is not available because I cannot find it. :(
I stamped the foliage on Neenah Desert Storm cs and then masked it and stamped a sweet little flower cluster several times. All images were colored with Prismacolor pencils. I added a few sequins , keeping it simple to let the images shine. And yes, I am aware of the fact that my flowers are not roses even though the sentiment references roses! If you squint hard enough...
Check out the fabulous and diverse inspiration on the Freshly Made Sketches blog.
Have a wonderful week and hope to see you in the gallery!

More Mermaid
Hello!
I am back with another mermaid card. I really love this cutie from the
Sweet n Sassy Stamps Mer-Mazing Stamp Set.
I started out with a watercolor panel that I made with Ken Oliver Colorbursts.
I die cut it with a MFT scalloped rectangle die.
I colored the mermaid and sea life with Copics. To get the coral in the background, I stamped it in Memento Desert Sand Ink. I colored it in with a Copic that was close the color in the watercolor panel. The bit of kelp in the background was hand drawn.
Everything else was fussy cut out and adhered to the panel.
While you cannot see it in this photo, she was given a liberal coat of Wink of Stella.
I was inspired by the colors at Inspired By...
It was the colors that drew me in. It's one of my favorite combos and I had not used it
in a while.
I am also linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More 'Anything Goes' challenge.

A Fusion Challenge
Hello All!
I played along with Fusion Challenge- I love both the sketch and the inspiration this week.
Here is the Fusion Challenge Inspiration; gotta love the Hippie bus!
I used the Wavy Weave Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and simply sponged in rainbow colors. I die cut the panel with a SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Die. Then in Jennifer McGuire-esque style, I stamped a palm tree silhouette image from the Landscapes Silhouettes Stamp Set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps. I stamped it on both the stenciled panel and the card base. The stenciled panel is adhered with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is a retired SSS set. Sequins finish this CAS card.
Thanks for stopping by!

Not Meant to be Patriotic Patriotic Flowers
Hello All!
I have been posting a lot as I have been trying to keep up with Kathy Racoosin's 30 day coloring challenge- or, #thedailymarker30day. I colored some roses from the Sweet n Sassy Stamps set, Mason Jar Bouquet. I was inspired by the challenge, Sunday Stamps.
I am typically not a huge die person, but I do keep an eye on the Spellbinders kits of the month. This month's (June) Small Die of the Month Membership really caught my eye. I finally broke down and bought it; I loved the layering elements for the 3 medallions. I considered it a bargain at $12.50! LOL! Have to justify the purchases!
Anyway, before I even started layering, I stopped with the top layer and played with that. I really love these little dies. I find them very versatile. I watched a video a while back from Ardyth Percy Robb and she showed how to make a faux cover plate die by die cutting a frame and then essentially filling in the space with your selected die, making sure that the dies are flush with the inside edge of the frame to give the illusion of a cover plate die.
When I started playing around, this idea came to me immediately. I love the results!
I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities A-2Matting Basics A Card Creator Dies to make the frame.
Once my faux cover plate die was made, I set about coloring my flowers. They are colored with Copics.
I used a Gelly Roll white pen for my flower centers. I wanted something else in my spray of roses, so I tried the hexagon layering die in the same Small Kit of the Month Membership. I did these in gold paper. I layered my flowers, using foam tape. I tucked the sentiment in the arrangement. It is heat embossed on vellum.
Oh, and the colors from the Sunday Stamps Challenge?
I am also linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More, Anything Goes.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Freshly Made Sketches in Pastels
Hello and Happy Wednesday! It is time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This week I happen to be the hostess and I have a pretty simple sketch for you. I hope you like it.
I am also Guest Designing for The Color Throwdown. The colors this week lend themselves very well to florals~
Here is the sketch~
This gorgeous bouquet, from Sweet n Sassy Stamps' Mason Jar Bouquet Stamp Set, was stamped in Versafine ink and watercolored with one of my favorite mediums, Ken Oliver Colorbursts. Side note, I had my Colorbursts all in a pretty half pan with a beautiful swatch in the lid. I went to a crafty gathering, taking my Colorbursts with me. Unbeknownst to me, I ended up with the pan upside down. Needless to say, the colors where a big, mixed up mess. Oh, did I mention I had just refilled the pans and had added drops of water to the pans???
Of course, I had to empty all of the pans and start over. I refilled and swatched them the other night, as I was itching to use them again. So here they are, fresh and beautiful, lol!
FYI, I was just shopping (again) at Dick Blick and their Colorbursts are a great price right now.
Anywho, I finished the card with a Sahara Sand card base (remember that SU color?) some scrap patterned paper and Altenew gold washi tape-annnnnnd, some sequins.
I hope you check out the rest of the inspiration at FMS; the team always amazes me with their collective talent!
Hope to see you in the gallery!

Everything is Coming Up Daisies
Hello Again!
Popping in for a quick post using the fantastic Delightful Daisies Stamp Set from Sweet n Sassy
Stamps.
So, I got a little over zealous here, trying no line coloring with white flowers and in addition to that, doing masking so I had a scene of 3 flowers instead of one. One flower would probably been a lot
easier, lol! I did stippling for the background and love how it turned out. I used Copics Y 13, 15, 17 and 19. I used the Ws for the shadows of the daisies. I used a sentiment from the Mason Jar Bouquet Stamp Set. I just love the fonts in this set.
I framed the image with a scalloped rectangle frame from MFT.
I am linking up to Just Add Ink with their gorgeous inspiration photo that I cannot get enough of.
Am also linking up to Time Out Challenges-
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

By the Sea with CAS(E) This Sketch et al.
Hello, Hello!
I also flipped the sketch so the sentiment is at the top and I turned mine into a shaker card.
I used the adorable Mer-Mazing Stamp Set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps. My images are colored with Copics and fussy cut out. For my crabby friend peeking out behind the rock, his eyes were fussy cut out so I could adhere them down closer together than if I had left them attached to his head. My main crab's eyeballs have Glossy Accents on them, which, in real life lookes adorable!
The background was done on watercolor paper, using the Wrinkle free distress technique with my Distress inks. I used a little bit of glitter (big mistake, it stuck to the clear plastic piece) and some seed beads, left over from my short lived jewelry making days.
I am also linking up to The Mod Squad Challenge- Nautical
As well as The Card Concept- I chose to use the primary colors for my clean and layered card in the inspiration image.
And how could I not mention Kathy Racoosin's The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge! Day one is done!
That's it for me! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!
The last couple of challenges from CAS(E) this Sketch have been challenging ones for me. This week's was no exception but I decided to add several elements together to represent the swirl.
I love how this turned out!

Daisies
Hello All!
Spent some time in the craft room this afternoon and played with my new Delightful
Daisies Stamp Set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps. I have been itching to ink this up and finally
had the chance today.
I created the wreath with my Gina K. Wreath Builder Template. Colored the daisies as Gerbera daisies and used my Copics. Once colored, I fussy cut the wreath out. So I went bold and graphic with this card. Can you tell, lol?!? Using some translucent texture paste and a TCW stencil, Scalloped Mandela, I added a textured background to black cs. Once that was dry, I scored around the outer edge of the panel and heat embossed the sentiment in white. The sentiment is from two the stamp set, Mason Jar Bouquet. I just love the fonts in this set.
I am linking this card up to Just Us Girls Challenge- Texture paste, as well as Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Wedding/Anniversary, and Watercooler Wednesday, All about Occasions.
I have a second card using the same Delightful Daisies Stamp Set.
I kept these as traditional white daisies and used one of my favorite color schemes- yellow and gray. Just Add Ink has an incredible inspiration photo this week, with these colors- so glad for this reminder to pull these colors out!
I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps for this card.
I colored the daisies with Copics and fussy cut them out.
The sentiment is a combination of two different sets; 'Friends' is from the Precious Poppies stamp set, and 'I am forever grateful' is from the So Thankful stamp set.
That's it for me! Hope your day is Delightful!

Smooth Sailing with Freshly Made Sketches
Hello and Welcome to another new challenge from Freshly Made Sketches!
Our talented Jacquie has a challenging sketch for you this week, but one that, once over my panic, I turned out loving!
I love the offset rectangle and the 3 fun strips. The 3 strips threw me off initially, but then I remembered my SSS Tiny Words Sentiments stamps. I was also inspired by last week's colors at The Color Throwdown. At this point, the card took shape in my head.
A background panel was created by-
Spritzing Dolphin Cove Shimmering Mist spray over my Scribble mask from A Colorful Life Design (on Neenah cs).
Using my MISTI, I over stamped the spritzed panel with a Technique Junkies Nautilus Mosaic background stamp with navy blue ink. The panel was then cut down with a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die from SugarPea Designs.
The Vintage Lighthouse was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black and then sponged some WPlus9 Gala Red ink onto it. The lighthouse panel was place back in the MISTI and stamped again with Versafine Black ink. Finally, the lighthouse was fussy cut out.
We would love it if when you are finished checking out all of the inspiration from the rest of the team, you would get your stamping supplies out and join us at FMS!
I am linking up to Die Cuttin' Divas for their masculine challenge
and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge- 'Vacation'.
I am also linking up to The Mod Squad Challenge- Nautical
If you should decide to do some shopping (I have done a bit of that lately myself!), you can take 10% off of your Technique Junkies order with code TJ10LeeAnn.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your kind comments!

Hydrangeas
Hello All!
I am trying out new color combos and wanted to play in the Paper Players challenge this week, with their fun colors. I used watercolors though, and the colors ended up not so bright. In layering the colors I lost a lot of the yellow. But, I still love the way this turned out.
Here are the colors~
I used the new Technique Junkies Hydrangeas for my card. It is stamped with Versafine ink on watercolor paper and colored with Daniel Smith Watercolors. The sentiment is from the In Full Bloom stamp set and is heat embossed on vellum. I did use a stencil on the white panel and lightly sponged on lavender ink. The stencil is Scribble Roses.
As usual, I added a smattering of sequins and called it done!
I am also linking up to Time Out Challenges- Nature
If you do any shopping at Technique Junkies, you can use code TJ10LeeAnn to save 10% on your order.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

S'Hello'!
Happy Monday All!
I am sneaking in under the wire with a card for the Color Throwdown Challenge. I also used the sketch from Cas(e) This Sketch. I am also linking up to Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge- Vacation.
This color combo wowed me. I was in dire need of color inspiration and I really loved this one.
I used the new Sweet n Sassy Stamps set, Mer-mazing, with these adorable sea shells. Not to mention a perfect shentiment!
I sponged the background with some Kraft ink over a Stencil Girl stencil onto Kraft cs. The panel was die cut with a MFT scalloped rectangle die. Of course, I needed pearls to finish this off.
Here is the sketch I used- perfect for these sweet shells!
Thanks for stopping and have a MER-MAZING week!

Vintage Lighthouse
Hello All!
I have a quick masculine card today; was channeling my inner Karen Dunbrook! If any of you know Karen, you will understand when you see my card!
This card is actually a bit taller than the standard A2- it is 4.25 x 6. I masked off a rectangle
and lightly sponged some distress oxide inks. I used two different Tim Holtz stencils and
the same Distress Oxide inks to sponge on the patterns. I stamped the Technique Junkies
Vintage Lighthouse in
a darker blue color and then stamped the sentiment, Enjoy Every Moment, in Versafine Black using my MISTI.
I am linking up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Masculine.
I am also linking up to Addicted to CAS- Father. My father lives in Florida, on the coast. This will be his Father's Day card.
You can receive 10% off any order at Technique Junkies with code TJ10LeeAnn.

Mer-mazing Stamps and Sketch with Freshly Made Sketches!
Hello!
Yeah for the first Freshly Made Sketches sketch for June and for the fact that I have the honor of guest designing for Korin of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month! I am also excited to receive the first stamp set designed by a new SNSS artist, Jennifer Nillson; the set is Mer-mazing! This is just the cutest mermaid set, which says a lot as I am not a huge mermaid fan, lol.
I used a mono print that I made with my gel plate and this Scribble Roses stencil (use code TJ10LeeAnn on the stencil and other TJ products to save 10%) for the ocean background; it was die cut with a scalloped rectangle die. Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay cs with the same die and used the scalloped portion to frame the monoprint piece. Lots of Wink of Stella and some sequins finish it off.
Head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out what the rest of the team has for you. I am amazed every week with the talent on this team!
I am linking up to Cupcake Inspirations Challenge~
As well as Addicted to Stamps and More- Clean and Simple.
Have a blessed week All!

Unity Stamps Blog Hop
Hello All!
What a happy day! I am officially on summer break and I am officially taking part in the Unity GIU Girls Blog Hop. I could not wait to ink up my knew Unity Kit of the Month- this one is from 6/18- We Can Rise.
I used my Arteza water color brush pens for this image. Stamped in Versafine ink and the colored away! The sentiment is from a set I just got, Special Wishes Sentiment Kit. Love the versatility of this set! This image reminds me of the Southwest, a place that I love, love, love to travel to. Sadly it is not in my plans to head to Colorado, Utah, or Arizona this summer, but a girl can dream!
I am linking up to The Paper Players Challenge~
When I realized I had more time to create I pulled out the set I got from the first time I did GIU. That set had yet to see ink as well. So here you are- 1 dress stamp, 2 cards. The stamp set used is Hey Girl, the 5/14 KOTM.
The first card is vintage, all colored with the neutral, E40 Copics. Love the warm tones in this card.
Added a bit of color with the bows and the background and used a gelly roll gold glitter pen to highlight the petite flowers, add dots to a bow and a bodice and color a bodice gold. I left the sentiment off until I know the recipient.
The second card has a totally different look- contemporary with cool colors.
This one was tough to photograph. I do not know why that is the case for some cards, lol. Each dress got a contemporary look, each different. I added big pink dots to one, colored one a platinum color, another black and another white with pink flowers. Everything got a generous dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. The dresses were fussy cut out and adhered to the card using the MOJO Monday sketch~
I am also linking up to Watercooler Wednesday, Anything Goes.
The sentiment is from the same Special Wishes Sentiment Kit.
That's it for me! Leave a comment on each blog for your chance to win one of two Unity prize packs! Your next stop on this hop is Shannon!

Hello and Happy Unofficial Summer!
And Happy New Technique Junkies Release as well! You should be coming from Kia's Blog. This month's stamps are all about summer! You can save 15% on all new releases through June 8th, no code needed!
You can take an additional 10% off with code TJ10LeeAnn. The discount code will get you a discount on your entire order (clearance items excluded).
The stamps for today's cards remind me of vacationing on the coast.
I used the new Vintage Lighthouse Stamp as well as the new Dolphin stamp. Everything is colored with Copics. The water spray is done with white acrylic paint. The small compass on the banner is taken from the Learning to Sail Stamp. I have to say, these two stamps play very well together!
Nest up, a totally different take with the Vintage Lighthouse Stamp.
I love this card. I think it will make a great set of masculine note cards. I was inspired by a crafter, Melinda Stearns, who has done amazing things in black and white. I was specifically inspired by a tattoo art photo on Pinterest.
The circles were traced using circle dies. The top right quadrant is the Vintage Lighthouse Stamp, the lower left quadrant is a portion of the Map Collage Stamp. The rest was done by hand. I have to say, this was totally fun to work up.

My third card is another one using the Dolphin Stamp.
My background is a simple one, sponged with Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the dolphin on the background and then again on some Neenah Solar White cs and colored with Copics, then fussy cut out. Again, the spray is done with acrylic paint. The sentiment is Saltwater Heals.

Rainbows with The Rainbow Challenge!
Hello All!
It is June 1st and that means it is time for a new challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge! If you are looking for the Technique Junkies June release, go HERE.
This month is our half birthday so we are celebrating! Our color(s) this month is neon rainbow colors! Also this month, we are giving away a digital stamp set designed by MHK Designs (our very own Mynn).
I started out with a A Colorful Life Stencil- Medallions- and sponged a rainbow of color. I used Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers. I die cut my panel out with a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die.
Using my MISTI, I stamped the adorable Kitty Duo image from Technique Junkies. If you have to have this stamp, you can get a 10% discount by using discount code TJ10LeeAnn at checkout.
The sentiment is one from SSS, which appears to be discontinued.
