Hello Everyone!
Spring seems to be officially here, weather wise. I am always amazed how one day everything is brown, gray and lifeless, and it seems the next day everything is spring green. My soul is certainly renewed this time of year.
Spring weather and the end of April signals that Mother's Day is almost here. I got busy making a card for my mom-
I got inspiration from several challenges-
Power Poppy and a sketch~
Fusion for colors~
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Showers or Flowers!
Watercooler Wednesday Challenge-Spring
My Power Poppy image is colored with Copics and fussy cut out. I used SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles for my gray panel.
That's it for me; I appreciate you stopping by and hope you have a blessed Sunday!
Lee Ann :)

Welcoming Baby!
Hi Everyone!
Hope your first day of September was a great one!
Have you heard the fun news that Shery, owner of Stamplorations, has had her baby? She had a little girl, and her team is throwing her a Surprise Congrats Blog Hop!
I made a soft, sweet card for the new family. I combined several products. The image is from Our Daily Bread Designs and is stamped in Memento London Fog. I colored with Copics around the mage to make it pop and colored the stems with a bit of warm grey (Copics).
The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs, as is te 'baby' die which I used the camouflage technique.
The button dies are from PTI. DP is retired SU.
I used the sketch from RetroSketches~
You can join in the fun too and link up a baby card on the Stamplorations Blog!
Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor and a Sketch
Hi Everyone!
I crafted this evening to relax as tomorrow is the first official day of school and it is sure to be crazy for me!
I just received some new goodies from SugarPea Designs- thank you, Wendy! When I saw this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, I immediately put my new stamps and die to good use. By the way, FMS is celebrating their 200th sketch this week; stop over and congratulate them and join in the fun! Congrats to you, Lesley!
Here is the sketch~
I started by die cutting my watercolor paper. To color, I layered on Peerless Watercolors. I then die cut two more pieces from scrap cardstock and adhered them to the bottom half of the watercolored piece. This gives the card a bit of dimension. I had been waiting for the perfect card to use the sweet heart charm and this card was is it as it is going to my mom and dad.
I am also linking up to Sugar Pea Designs Challenge 19- 'Summertime Sweetness'
and Papertake Weekly-To 'Die' For
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

A Smile For Mom
Happy Mother's Day to All the Moms out there!
I have a quick post today, sharing a card I made with my mom in mind. She taught me to love traveling and she still loves to travel and see new places. She will be getting out of the hospital tomoorrow (after a stay of over a month) and I want to have some cards to cheer her up.
I used some map themed dsp from SU as will as the On Film Framelits from SU. The stamps are Sugar Pea Designs. I added a bit of Crystal Effects to the heart/camera, though it is hard to see here. I got my inspiration from
Sugar Pea Designs sketch~
Colour Q colors~
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, "Don't Abandon the Coral".
I also used the inspiration at The Curtain Call, but was a few hours late to upload my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

A Linkie Party with The Challenge and Sugar Pea Designs!
Hi Everyone!
Sugar Pea Designs is sponsoring this celebration challenge and you have a chance at a fab prize from them! I used the uber fun Sugar Pea Designs set, Wanderlust.
I started with the sketch from Fusion~
I used a rectangle instead of an oval. My colors come from Colour Me...
I am also linking up to~
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - 'Anything Goes'
and Papertake Weekly-'A Cut Above'
I stamped two backgrounds- the compass rose was stamped in Bermuda Bay on white; I used generation stamping for this background. The smaller panel was stamped with Crumb Cake on Naturals Ivory cs.
I did some masking with one of the sentiments in the set to come up with my unique sentiment. Then, of course, there is the adorable scooter, which I colored with Copics and fussy cut out. I added some of my favorite sequins from Simon Says Stamp to add some sparkle, along with some Wink of Stella on the scooter.
So, did you notice the new graphic that Lesley designed? That is just the start of the changes that are coming to The Challenge! AND, challenges will now be weekly!
Hop on over to the blog to see what else we have in store for you!
Ready for some more inspiration?
Check out what the team has for you!~
Kim Wiener
Lori Tecler
Nancy Salkeld
Kim Heggins
Anita Madden
Lesley Croghan
Michele Ferguson
AND, Lesley has lined up guest designers for the party, so hop on over to the blog for even more inspiration!
I think I have covered the main details! Can't wait to see what you link up!
