Celebrations

 Hello Friends!

It's been quite some time, but I am hoping to finally be back to some steady crafting.  June is celebration month- graduations, showers, weddings, and for me, retirement!  I am so excited to enter this period of my life.  First up, I needed a graduation card for my nephew, who just graduated with his master's degree in social work.

Loving how this turned out- I dug through my stash and used an old Spellbinders stamp set.  Collage style cards have always been a challenge for me, but this set makes then pretty easy.
The truck is colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  The 'Bravo' die cut is a retired die from Stamplorations.
I used the sketch from TGIF Challenges (I rotated the sketch)

I am also linking up to Cut It Up Challenge- masculine card

I used Graduation, Free and word die.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Easter Gnome

 Hello All!

It's spring break week for me and the weather is perfect for yard work and all things spring.  I did a little crafting to celebrate my first official day off.

I used a sweet little gnome die (IO Stamps Easter Gnomes Dies).  I have him holding a tulip which I die cut with Spellbinders Artful Tulip Dies.  The background is stamped with the IO Wildflowers Slimline Stamp.

The whole thing is framed with a MFT Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Edge Frame Die.  Sentiment is SnSS.  A few SSS Moonshine Sequins finish the card.

Come Near

 Hello Friends,

I have been away for a bit for a family emergency.  It's hard to get back in the swing of things when you have been gone a while; I have forgotten how to juggle work, chores and errands.

But I have a week back at work under my belt and Bible study has started back up, so life is starting to feel back to normal again, enough to sneak in some crafting.  I did need some inspiration to get me going.  I started with the colors at Sunday Stamps.

This was definitely a challenging color palette, but I love how it came out!

I used my favorite flowers AGAIN, from the SnSS stamp set, My Savior's Love.  I colored the image with Copics and then fussy cut it out.  I wanted some more leaves for the floral spray so I inked up some leaves from the MFT stamp set, Peaceful Birds and colored them with Copics.
Next up I needed a sketch, so I headed to Freshly Made Sketches~

My background panel is die cut with  Spellbinders Fluted Rectangle Dies from vanilla cs.
I used patterned paper for the strips along the bottom and left side.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment, which I was graciously gifted from Word Art Wednesday and Stamp Simply.  Love, love, love the fonts.
I am also linking up to Double D Challenges, where this week's challenge is patterned paper, and also Word Art Wednesday.

Thank you for stopping by!

Love You

 Hello!

Coloring is my favorite technique but I am trying to branch out and use dies more.

This clean and layered card uses a retired Spellbinders heart and floral dies, Spellbinders Fluted Rectangle Dies, and a Divinity Designs Sentiment from the Strawberries Stamp Set.  Pearl embellishments were added to the flower centers.  That's it!

I am linking up to Word Art Wednesday.

Stay safe and warm,

Lee Ann

Butterfly Skies

 Hello Again!

I was in the mood for butterflies, so I got out my Made New Stamp Set.  I was inspired by an amazing stamper, Michele Ferguson.  She used a gorgeous color combination that was just calling my name.

The butterflies were stamped on Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor paper in Versafine Onyx Black ink; I then heat set the ink with the heat gun.  I used Zig watercolor markers for the background (Dick Blick has a great sale on the zig Markers right now).  Once the background was dry, I painted in the butterflies.  Then I stamped 3 more butterflies on watercolor paper and painted them with the markers.  The 3 additional butterflies were fussy cut out (there are coordinating dies if you don't like fussy cutting!).
The sentiment is from the Made New set as well and was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink once everything was completely dry.  I used my MISTI for perfect placement of the sentiment and to get dark, crisp words. The 3 butterflies were glued on top of the background butterflies and a sequin was added to each body.

The water colored panel was adhered to a background panel that was die cut using a Spellbinders Fluted Rectangle Die.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed week and weekend!

Lee Ann
