Pastel Parade

 Hello.  

It's been a good while since posting on my blog or on social media.  I stepped away from crafting, at least the public aspect of it.  I am still making cards and am blessed to have a friend who sells them for me.  

I still follow challenge blogs to give me inspiration.  This week I spotted the colors over at Color Dare and decided to give them a go. 

 No fancy photos or multiple pictures- just a photo snapped with my phone.  

I colored these Mama Elephant images with Copics and fussy cut them out.  They are popped up on scrap cardstock.  I have been eyeing a die set from Penny Black for months and finally broke down and bought it.  The large frame was perfect for this little parade of critters.

Hello!
I love crafty days with friends!  There is nothing like getting together with friends and crafting;  I love how this crafty day project turned out.

I heat embossed the Botanic Hello Stamp Set from Mama Elephant in black on water color paper.  I colored it with, yep, you guessed it- Ken Oliver Color Burst Watercolor powders.  I kept it super simple and let the image speak for itself so not much else to write about, lol!

Mama Elephant and PinkFresh Studio

Hello All!

I am settling in for a long, quiet weekend in anticipation of lots of snow tonight here in St Louis.  While I am a bit tired of snow, I do love the 'cozy up' feeling these kinds of days bring.  So, I can color away!

I used two stamp sets for this card, the bear is a Mama Elephant set and the Lush Greenery is from PinkFresh~

Green is one of my favorite colors; after looking at my Instagram page, I realized I had not been using it lately.  I was seeing a lot of pink and red!  Hmmm flowers, maybe...?

Anywho, this foliage set was a must-have when I saw it.  I realized after playing around with the stamp that it would pair perfectly with this adorable Mama Elephant Bear.  Both are colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  My background panel is sponged with distress inks and spattered with water.  The background panel was then cut out using a rectangle die from SugarPea Designs.
I really love how this turned out.  So how about you?  Do you have a favorite color?

Not Just for Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day All! 

I really am not one to celebrate this holiday, but it is fun to see all of the pretty heart stamps! 
I spotted this beauty from Mama Elephant and had to have it.  I like that it is not just for romantic relationships or Valentine's day. 

I colored the image with Copics, die cut the bottom edge and added a piece of patterned paper and called it done! 

I was inspired by the challenge at Pinspirational Challenges. I love the colors and had to use the heart shape.~

Starting the New Year Fresh!

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to share with you that I am now part of one of my all time favorite challenge blogs, Freshly Made Sketches!  This is one of Lesley Croghan's babies and I have been playing along since the very beginning.  Looking for a sketch?  Look no further than FMS!

Here is your first sketch of 2019~

I made 3 versions of the sketch before I settled on the above card.  I think I like best it because it was made with love.  I young teacher I work with just adopted to small boys over the holidays.  I thought these adorable critters from Mama Elephant would be perfect for the new family!
I ended up using colors from the MFT color challenge this week; I just love this combo and want to make more using these  colors!  I used the adorable Animal Parade stamp set and colored with Copics.  The background panel was die cut with MFT's Dienamics Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Edge Frames.  I pulled the word 'adoption' from a Lawn Fawn set.

SSS Wednesday Challenge with Mama Elephant!

 Hello Again! It is time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!


 I am joining the team again this week, with the featured product being Mama Elephant!

  The challenge this week is 'Fun in the Sun'! 

Summer is full of outdoor activities, including parades! Those of us in the U.S. just experienced that with last week's Independence Day celebrations.  I could not resist these adorable parading critters from the Mama Elephant Animal Parade Stamp Set.  They are colored with Copics.  I did a little cutting outside of the box with my critter panel and used  My Favorite Things Peek A Boo Polka Dots die to back the panel.  The first background panel was cut in a lime green paper.  I cut a second panel in aqua color and popped up a few of the dots on Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape; my image panel is also popped up on the dimensional tape.  I added some sparkle with my Zig Wink of Stella clear glitter marker to the aqua dots as well as parts of the colored image.
