Going Batty

 Hello!

Welcome to Impression Obsession's Theme Day Blog Hop.  Our theme this month is 'Silhouettes'.  Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog

I went super simple but super cute with the new Halloween Shapes Dies.  I did black on black with my background and the bats, but to make the bats stand out, they are covered with Glossy Accents.  The die cuts are also inlaid.  The sentiment, Happy Halloween, was die cut from white cs that had been colored in an ombre fashion with Copic markers.  It too is inlaid .  A few black sequins finish the card!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the team has to share!

Thanks for stopping by,

Lee Ann

Halloween with Impression Obsession New Release!

 Hello Again!

We are back for Day 2 of the Impression Obsession September New Release Blog Hop!   If you have come from Laura Williams's blog, you are in the right spot.  If not, head over to the Impression Obsession Blog to start the hop.

Each day of the hop (September 6th and 7th) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.  We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession $25 gift certificates to the IO store.  The more you comment (one comment per post per day), the greater your chances of winning!

All comments for each of the hop days will be open until Monday, September 13 at 11:59pm.  All winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 14th on the IO blog.

Does the song, 'Monster Mash' come to mind here??  Sorry if it is stuck in your head now!  These  Monsters are the cutest!  The come with a coordinating Monster Dies Set.

They are a solid stamped image.  Because I like dimension, I used the rock and roll technique when stamping the monsters.  I really love how they turned out.  They were die cut out with the Monster Dies and then eyeballs were added using Googly Eyes.
I water colored a background using Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  The sentiment was stamped with IO Black Ink using my MISTI.  The background was die cut out with the Crazy Stitched Rectangle Die.

Next up, this happy spider!  This is the new Hang in There Stamp.  The image was stamped on a scrap of patterned paper, then stamped again on white cs.  The spider on the cs was colored with Copics and fussy cut out and glued to the image on the patterned paper.
The patterned paper image was fussy cut out and mounted onto a piece of black cs.  I created 4 perfect black cs strips by using the IO Rounded Corner Sentiment 2 Dies.  I used the longest die to die cut 4 black strips, adhered them to the white card base and then trimmed off the ends overhanging the card.  The image panel was adhered and a few sequins were added to finish the card. I also used a white gel pen to color in the tiny circles in the background of the image.

You can find the entire new release HERE.

It's Fall at Impression Obsession!

 Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Day 1 of the September Impression Obsession New Release Blog Hop.  This month it is all about fall, which I love!  If you came from Laura Williams's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, head over to the Impression Obsession blog for the start of the hop.

Each day (September 6th and 7th) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.  We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession $25 gift certificates to the IO store.  The more you comment (one comment per post per day) the greater your chances of winning.

All comments for each of the hop days will be open until Monday, September 13th at 11:59pm.  Winners will be announced Tuesday, September 14th on the IO blog.

It's that time of year for all things fall and Halloween.  I'm not too much into the scary stuff, so this Frankenstein is more cute than scary so he was perfect for my stash!

The image was stamped with IO Black Ink and colored with Copics.  I then fussy cut around the frame and mounted it to some black cs.  The background panel was done using distress inks, using the smooshing technique.  Using my craft mat, I smooshed some distress ink onto the mat in a couple of different colors and then spritzed the ink so the ink beaded up.  Then I pressed Mixed Media Paper into the ink and dried it with a heat tool.  I repeated this process until I was happy with the layered ink look.  I used mixed  media paper versus watercolor paper because it gives you spottier results.
A couple of strips of cs,  the image panel, and the background panel were adhered to the card base.  The sentiment, which was stamped along the edge of the card using my MISTI, is from the Spider Trio Stamp Set.  I finished off the card with a squiggly black line made with a Pigma Marker around the card and some black sequins.

Next up, some pretty sunflowers and pumpkins.  One of mjy favorite things to do in fall is head to the pumpkin patch!  This new Sweet Sunflowers Stamp brings back memories of those pumpkin patches and sunflower fields.  I stamped the image twice in IO Black Ink along the edge of this watercolor paper.  The images were water colored with Ken Oliver Color Bursts.  I threw in a bit of pink to change things up a bit.

The sentiment, Love You Always, was stamped with IO Black ink using my MISTI. I splattered a bit of watercolor paint onto the panel and added a few sequins to finish it off.

Technique Junkies September New Release!

Hello, Hello and welcome to the
September New Release Blog Hop with Technique Junkies!
If you came from Jeanne Streiff's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you
can start at the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog to view the entire hop.

It's that time of year, when we start to see all stamp sets about Halloween!  All of these
new release stamps are 15% off through September 8th!  No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

What a fun background stamp!  So quick and easy- and a one layer card to boot!
I have used the new Raven Collage Stamp.
I masked off a large rectangle on my card front.
Using Direct to Paper Technique, I dragged 3 Halloween themed colors of Distress ink to the rectangle, then placed the card front in my MISTI
I inked it up with black ink several times until I got good coverage of my solid image bird
(one of my favorite features of the MISTI!).
And that is it!

Your next stop is Cheri Weston's blog for some amazing inspiration!

New release is 15% off through September 8,
all other items (excluding clearance) are 15% off with code TJ10LeeAnn.

Thanks!
Lee Ann
