Chicks and Scoops

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post tonight to share a card I made for FUN.  Trying to get the MOJO back and coloring seems to be doing the trick.  I joined The Card Concept and Sketch Saturday with this card~

I finally inked up this darling Stamping Bella image.  Clearly it was perfect for The Card Concept Challenge.

I used the clean and layered style for this card and used this sketch~

Thanks for popping in!

Single Layer Card- Woot!

Happy Hump Day, Everyone!

I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as far as the lack of crafty MOJO goes.  This NBUS image from Unity was calling my name to be colored.

I was inspired by the woodland colors at Sunday Stamps

And I am pretty stinkin' proud of myself as this is a single layer card.  I almost always make a mistake and have to cut the image out or add layers.
This card is going to my niece who is in her first year of college, enjoying the fall weather in South Dakota.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed rest of the week!

An Inspirational Photo

Hello Everyone!

It is time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps.  This week we have a spooky photo for you!

And your inspirational photo~

This was so much fun to make, and with the awesome SugarPea Designs Die, it was super easy too!

Throwing a Little Color on My Comfort Zone

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Today's card was an experiment to break out of a crafting rut. It is also for the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog.  It was time to get out of my comfort zone.

Some days I seem to be able to use water color mediums, and other days I do not.  I was determined to used the powdered water colors- Colorburst and Brushos- with a stencil.  The stenciled background was done on mixed media paper.  I love how this turned out.  I finally got the right mix of powder and water.
It was a perfect background for this awesome sentiment from the new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Inspirational Word Art 2 Stamp Set.  The bird silhouette from the His Wings Stamp Set was the perfect finishing touch for this card.  I added strips of paper for the banner portion of the Retrosketch, below, that I used.

I am also linking up to~
Fusion- When I saw the inspiration photo, the chair backs immediately reminded me of stencils!  I loved the colors too!

CAS and Colored

Hi Everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
I know it was World Card Making Day on Saturday, but my MOJO was still no where in sight, so I just colored some nbus Stamping Bella images, including this wonderful image of Edna.  I love Edna!

I was inspired by the colors at ColourQ this week~

The image is colored with Copics and the panel die cut out with a SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die.
Super CAS!!!

Wrapping up Christmas with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Hello and Welcome to the Last Day of September!

Hard to believe we are knocking on the door of Halloween!  At Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, we are wrapping up our month of new Christmas stamp sets.  I am featuring Receive the Savior on this CAS card.

I love this little nativity scene; it reminds me of the little plastic snow globes I used to have as a kid.   And the little plastic nativities with silver glitter on the roof...fond memories!
The background is masked and sponged (sky) and colored with Copics (nativity and foreground).  I heat embossed the star from the Welcome Jesus Stamp Set.  The sentiment is also from this set.

I am linking up to AAA Cards- Game 74 Masking

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hey Everyone!

Just a quick post to share this card I made for the latest sketch at SugarPea Designs.  I have been itching to ink up this image from my newest SPD set, Everyday is Christmas

My MOJO has been on vacation again, but I was determined to use at least one the the sketches for September.  The image is colored with Copics.  The ornate mat for the image panel is from Crafter's Companion and was gifted to me by me sweet friend, Giovana.  Thanks, Giovana!

Thanks for stopping by!
