Hey, Chickie!

Hi Everyone!

Tonight I stamped just to play!  It has been I while and it was really quite relaxing and great fun!  Not to mention it worked out great that I was already in the basement in my craft room when the tornado sirens went off!
Tonight's card is a mixed media extravaganza!  I used the sketch at SCS this week and played along with the Challenge Chicks, in which we were to do a little 'spring cleaning' and use something old.  I got out an oldie but goodie, Stampin' Up's, Just Chicken In!

For my background panel, I started with River Rock cs, applied a thin layer of gesso and let it dry.  Then I stamped the background stamp, French Script in Early Espresso over the gesso.  The next step was to use the chicken wire template and mist Mister Huey's Apple Green and Warm Calico mists over the previous layers.
The chicken panel was done by brayering the embossing folder with Lucky Limeade ink and the embossing the Whisper White cs.  The panel was then spritzed with Tattered Angels Bronze mist.  The chicken image is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  He is fussy cut out and adhered to the embossed layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Lee Ann  :)
