Nativity in Neutral

 Hello and Happy December!

I have the pleasure of guest designing for Sweet n Sassy Stamps this month.  It is no secret that they are one of my favorite stamp companies around and this is not my first go around designing for Korin.  Since I have started Bible journaling, I love the products even more.  But today, the focus is on a Christmas card.

My favorite Christmas cards are those that express the real reason for the season.  I used my favorite Christmas image from SnSS stamp and die set, Born this Day for today's card.

The main image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics, then die cut out.  I wanted to create a sort of wreath around the image, so I used the pine branches and pine cones from the SnSS set, Christmas Pine Stamp Set.  My secret in making this wreath with the pine branches is that I used the mirror image stamping technique to stamp the pine branches.  I used my silicon craft mat and MISTI to create the mirrored image.

I fussy cut the images but there are now dies available for this stamp set.  For a background, I used the Wood Backgrounds Stamp Set and stamped in the color, Grout Gray from MFT.   I arranged and layered everything and before adhering, I added a Bible verse label using the SnSS Books of the Bible Stamp Set.

Everything was adhered and a few SSS Moon Shine sequins finish the card.

I am linking up to the following challenges~

Festive Friday~  I have used neutral colors, created texture, used alcohol markers and have an animal on the card.
