Simple Sympathy

 Hello Again!

The sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Challenge is one of my favorites so I had to play along.

We have some grey skies so getting a good picture was not in the cards today.  I kept it simple but colored, fussy cut and used a technique I have not used in a long while.

Here is the sketch~

I used one of my favorite Altenew sets; sadly I think it has been discontinued.  I colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  I took a strip of drywall tape and rubbed a distress stamp along it and then stuck it to the card panel.  I 'painted' a bit of alcohol over the inked tape to give the ink a bit of a distressed look, but not so much as one would get with water.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

  3. Sympathy cards can certainly be hard to create, especially as we think about the loss of a loved one. I love the texture on the background and the layout of your stamping, a beautiful card!
