Field of Flowers

 Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!  We have had some amazing weather here in the midwest.

I am sharing a simple, yet striking card made with the slimline line of stamps.

I love these layeringing stamps!  I started with the Meadow Floral Stamp Set, stamping the grass and stems in green.  Next, I used the Grass Set, stamping the  shorter grass in darker green.  This grass set is just perfect-love it for scenes.  The flower heads were stamped in yellows and oranges.
The sentiment is from a new set, aptly named 'Sentiment Set'.
I love how this turned out.  Simple but oh so bright and cheery for someone who is ill.

I am linking up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- 'Anything Goes',
Krafty Chicks Challenge- 'Anything Goes',
and Addicted to Stamps and More- 'Any Occasion'.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Sunday!

  2. This is beautiful! I look how you explained the process to make the card! I recently purchased the IO slimline stamp Bunnies in Grass. Do you have any advice on how I would use the stamp to get the look shown in the IO website?
First I stamped the sky part blue, the bunnies, eggs and butterflies are white so I can colour them in, that's not a problem. The grass tufts however are also blue like the sky.
If I stamp the grass portion of the stampset green, the tufts are white but the rabbits, eggs and butterflies are also green. What am I missing? I've searched for videos on how to use this stampset but cannot find anything.

  3. Thanks so much for your kind words, Debbie. I took a look at the bunnies stamp you are referring to. first off, I would definitely use a stamp platform. That way you can ink up the image multiple times using different color inks and get a perfect impression. On the website, it looks like they either used no line ink to stamp and colored everything in, or used the no line ink (or a very light colored ink) on parts of the image like the bunnies, eggs and butterflies. This would allow you to add color where you want to. another option might be to mask off the grass postion and stamp the sky blue and then mask off the sky and stamp the grass green. I would use the stamp with more lines than solid image to do this. You could also try to use the solid image stamp and ink up the different parts carefully, using different color inks. I think you would need to stamp your bunnies gray or brown/light brown for them to show up. You can check out my June 7 2021 post where I used similar techniques for the 'Pier' stamp.
