Take a Peek at this New 'No Peeking' Stamp!

Good Morning and Happy Saturday Everyone!

It is a beautiful Saturday in St Louis and there is a definite fall feel to the air.  This is definitely one of my favorite times of the year.  My most favorite time?  The Christmas Season!
Kraftin' Kimmie has an amazing new SUPER Sized Holiday Card Kit with what has to be the most adorable Santa image ever!

I have to say, this Santa is soooo cute, you really do not need too much more to embellish your card.  I fussy cut my image out and placed it on a 'window' that I made with a Stampin' Up framelit and their new Softly Falling embossing folder.  I was going to turn the window into a shaker, but decided to adhere a few of the darling wood veneer stars in my not-so-realistic night sky.

I love the colors of the papers in the kit- oh, the greens!  Gorgeous stuff!

The red and white baker's twine ties into the Santa red shirt.

Head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog where you can get more great
inspiration for this kit from the Krafty Girls!

Have an amazing weekend!

Amy Tsuruta!
Want to know more about the hop and how you can participate?  Check out all of the details HERE
on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.

I love the warmth and vibrancy of fall colors, so I combined the earthiness of coffee and fall- brown- with the more vibrant colors of fall.
The cup is a from the Funny Coffee Vol 1 Stamp Set from Skipping Stones Design. My
background was made with my brand new toys, Brushos and Color Bursts in orange and merlot.
Once I finished playing with my powdered inks, I stamped some floral images from the Skipping Stones Design set, Dandelion Dreams.
The coffee cup was fussy cut out and popped up on dimensional adhesive.  I cut a banner and
stamped my punny sentiment on it.

I am linking uip to Simon Says sStamp Wednesday Challenge- 'No designer paper'.

A New Challenge and Gorgeous Inspiration

Hi Everyone!

This is my second post of the day; if you are looking for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, go HERE.
Today is the start of a new challenge at Skipping Stones Design.

Here is your gorgeous inspiration!

I used two stamp sets for this card- for the backgound I used the dandelion image from the
Dandelion Dreams and just stamped the head of the dandelion, leaving off the stem.
The butterfly and sentiment are from the Healing Wings stamp set.
I started with a very light gray water color wash background and then stamped the dandelion head in light gray.  I spritzed the background with a bit of Tattered Angels gold spritz.  The singular full dandelion flower is stamped in dark gray and then framed with a wide rectangle made with SB card matting dies.
The butterfly was stamped twice in Versamark and heat embossed and colored with Copics.  Both were fussy cut out and then glued together at their bodies.
I hope you can join us this week!  We would love to see your creation in the Skipping Stones Design Stamp and Share  Gallery!
I am linking up to Friday Mashup, 'using die cuts to create a frame' and
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- 'no designer paper' and
Casology- 'circles' as I used a circular flower head to make the background.

Blessings!

Hi Everyone!

How does Monday role around so fast???
Well, one of the highlights of Mondays is a new challenge from The Challenge!
Lesley has a wonderful inspiration photo for us this week~

There was so much inspiration in the inspiration photo, that I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted to do!

Eventually I settled on the lemon tree and the wonderful texture from the brick wall and the woven bag.  It will be fun to see how you interpret this photo!
I used the sketch from Viva La Verve~

Ready to see how the rest of the team was inspired?

You can link up your creation HERE!  See you at The Challenge!

More New Kraftin' Kimmie- Clear and Christmas!

Hi Everyone~

Welcome back to Day 4 of Kraftin' Kimmie's September Release!
We have an absolutely adorable snowy image for you today~

'Frosty Friends' is one of the latest from Annie Rodrigue; I just love the snowman-SO SO Cute!
I colored with Copics, Used a Spellbinders die to frame the image panel and embellished it with glittered snowflakes made with Heartfelt Creations dies.
And the sentiment?  One of the fabby things about clear stamps is the ability to bend the images, as I did here- bending the sentiment to follow the curve of the circle.

Don't forget to leave some love on each blog for a chance to win some Krafty Kash!  AND-
tonight, 6p, EST,  is the release party HERE!  Join us for lots of fun!

Ready for more great inspiration from the rest of the team?? Have fun hopping!

KKS Day Two Release-Angel Voices!

Hello again!

Welcome to day two of Kraftin' Kimmie's September Release!  Today we have an adorable
set of wee carolers from Cheryl Grant (and yes, they are CLEAR stamps! )~

I used two of the sweeties here, and put them in a snowy scene.

These colors were used as I wanted a bit of a vintage feel to the image/card.  The carolers are colored with E40-44, with the exception of their skin and red highlights.  The scarves are paper pieced.
I used the sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch~

I have to give Sandy Allnock credit for the background technique.  I had colored the girls, but was unsure of how to do the background; last week I spotted a snowy scene of Sandy's and new that was 'it'.
While the KKS image is brand new, the snowflake embellies, sequins and diamond bling are very old stash.  It always feels good to use up a bit more or the old 'stuff'.   I am linking up to both Jingle Belles and Shopping our Stash.
The amazingly talented team has lots to share with you using this adorable set; don't forget to
leave a little love as you hop along, for a chance to win some KKS kash!

September Kraftin' Kimmie Release and Exciting News!

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe it is time for another new release from Kraftin' Kimmie!  Yep!  And this month I am so excited, for two reasons-
ONE- This release is all about CHRISTMAS!
TWO- Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps are now clear stamps!  Woo Hoo!  I adore the ease of clear stamps- of slapping them on a block, the ability to see what you are stamping and where, and ease of aligning sentiments!  This is such great news!  I can't say that enough, LOL!
Today's release is another fabby sentiment set from Becky Pearce, The Magic of Christmas~

I have been gravitating towards non traditional Christmas colors for this release.  I love hot pink and bright green along with silver accents.
I inked up a holly stencil and spritzed it with water to make my bright pink background. The sentiment from the new, ' The Magic of Christmas' set, is embossed in silver and added as a banner across a die cut wreath.

I added sequins and pink pearls for bling and a bow of silver cord.

I am linking up to Merry Monday's Challenge this week- 'Spotlight Sentiment'.

There is so much more amazing inspiration from the rest of the team, showcasing this fab new set!
Hop along and be sure to leave some love for a chance to win some KKS Kash!

Just BEAUTIFUL!

I inked up a new to me stamp, one of Unity's Phyllis Harris images.  Sooo gorgeous!  I colored with Copics and then added a few highlights with Prismacolor Pencils.  The sentiment is Avery Elle and also a NBUS!

I am linking up to Darnell's NBUS challenge #5~

Kraftin' Kimmie Coffee Krop and Online Party!

Hi Everyone~

Today I wished I lived in Canada!  Kim of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is hosting a Coffee Krop at her home.  It sounds like sooo much fun!  For those of us who cannot go, we are celebrating online HERE.  You get to join in the fun with challenges!  We have had challenges at 10am, noon and 2pm (EST) and now the 4th one of the day!  I would like for you to include an animal on your card!

Sorry to those of you who have already seen this card earlier this week.  Being new to the Krafty Krops, I did not know I was going to have to blog this as well!
Anywho, I used the darling image from Fairy Friends, colored with markers and then made a background for her using Kelli's uber cool technique found HERE.  I did change it up (without realizing it) and inked the stencil, not the paper.
So if you would like to join in the fun, check out the Kraftin' Kimmie  FB page HERE!

A Skipping Stones Blog Hop

Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday!

Welcome to Skipping Stones Design Team Tutorials and Tips Blog Hop! If you started from the beginning, you should be coming from the Skipping Stones Design Blog.  If you just happened upon this hop, you might want to start there.
My card today uses a very addictive technique, Stamping with Stencils.

This is so simple and is a great background for a large sentiment stamp.  I have used the 'JOY' from the set, Joy Stamp Set.
To start, you need just a few things~ A stencil, ink and either water color paper or mixed media paper.  I used mixed media paper.  You will also need a spritzer or spray bottle.

Ink up the stencil~

And spritz it with water~

And flip it over onto your paper~

That's it!  Remove the stencil and let your paper dry.
You can now finish your card.  I embossed my 'Joy' sentiment with black embossing powder.

Please leave some love along the way for all of the talented ladies!  There will be a stamp set give away to one lucky winner! You have until Wednesday, Sept 16th to comment!
Ready to see what the rest of the team has for you?  Head on over to Tanja's blog to see her beautiful card!
Thanks for hopping with us!

CAS card and a Few Challenges

Hi Everyone!

I hope you enjoyed your long weekend!  In between 'Laboring' in the yard, I did a lot of stamping.  I made this card for my mom and dad, who live in Florida.  I was inspired by the inspiration photo at The Curtain Call.

I really liked the photo- the neutral colors on the white washed wood- but I do not own anything with a 'sunglasses' theme.  So, I went with the white washed wood and went with a symbol of a place where you  NEED sunglasses!  That was the best I could do!

I used the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch~

And am linking up to Simon Says stamp Monday Challenge- 'Stamp and Die Cut'.

I used a Stampin' Up background stamp, WPlus9 banner and banner die, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps sentiment, and the flamingo and matching die is from Reverse Confetti.

Thanks for popping in-
Have a wonderful week!

Lee Ann  :)

The Challenge is Back!

Hi Everyone and Happy Labor Day!

After a long summer's break, The Challenge is back and better than ever!  Our first challenge of the month is a sketch~

Here is your sketch~

I got my color and style inspiration from Runway Inspired Challenge~

I am also linking up to Virginia's Challenge at Virginia's View- 'Geometrics'
The leaves are made with Stampin' Up's new leaf framelits.  I sponged and spritzed with Distress inks.  Spritzed with Heidi Swapp Color Mist.  Added Stampin' Up gold thread and some sequins.
The sentiment is from one of my favorite sentiment sets, Altenew's Label Love.

Ready to join us?  Here is the rest of the Design Team inspiration~

Fairies and Mushrooms

Hello Everyone!

I spotted a really fun inspiration photo at Addicted to Stamps and More and just had to join in.

I used an adorable Kraftin' Kimmie stamp from the Fairy Friends Stamp Set.  She is colored with Copics and the wings are glittered with my Wink of Stella pen.  I ended up cutting this cutie out so that I could put her on a background I made using this tutorial from krafty friend, Kelli.
Inspiration came from Addicted to Stamps and More~

My sketch inspiration is from Fusion- I am so glad they are back from summer break!

And I chose a trio of colors for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge- I used orange, red and teal.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Not too Spooky with this Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp!

Hello and Happy Saturday!

I know many of you will be enjoying a long weekend this weekend, myself included!  I plan on
working in some crafting time; I hope you do too!
We have a new challenge on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog this week.  Are you a fan of tags?  This week we want you to use a tag!

I used this sweet image from one of Kimmie's latest stamp sets, You're a Scream;  with such a cute image, I had
to sneak in some girly colors and ended making most of the card purple and pink!  But I love it!
The tag is cut from a piece of cardstock that I had inked up using a Crafter's Companion stencil.  It was a perfect background for this cutie.
I went a little mixed media, using black corrugated cardboard and some cheese cloth that I dyed orange.  The pink gingham is a fabric tape and was a gift from my crafty friend, Giovana.
A button, some Hemptique twine and a few of Kimmie's Funky Fuschia sequins finish it off!
Now it is your turn!  Check out the rest of the amazing inspiration from the Krafty Girls then play along and link up your card!  As always, there is a chance to win some Krafty Kash!

While you are there, be sure to check out the latest Frugal Friday specials!  It is always fun to add to your stash with these bargains!

I am linking up to All Sorts Challenge- 'Lots of Layers',
and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- 'Make it Colorful',
Just Add Ink- 'Inspiration' - While the photo is of spring flowers, the colors were perfect for a sweet Halloween card!

Have a Blessed weekend,

Lee Ann  :)

Welcoming Baby!

Hi Everyone!

Hope your first day of September was a great one!

Have you heard the fun news that Shery, owner of Stamplorations, has had her baby?  She had a little girl, and her team is throwing her a Surprise Congrats Blog Hop!

I made a soft, sweet card for the new family.  I combined several products.  The image is from Our Daily Bread Designs and is stamped in Memento London Fog.  I colored with Copics around the mage to make it pop and colored the stems with a bit of warm grey (Copics).
The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs, as is te 'baby' die which I used the camouflage technique.
The button dies are from PTI.  DP is retired SU.
I used the sketch from RetroSketches~

You can join in the fun too and link up a baby card on the Stamplorations Blog!
Congrats to the new family!

Thanks for stopping by!
