Framed Floral Spray

 Hello!

I am back with another card made with the Spellbinders Birthday Wishes Vignette Die.  The great thing about this die is that you do not need to use all of the pieces, including the die sentiment.  In this case, I left the Happy Birthday die off and added a sweet sentiment from the Beautiful Inside and Out Stamp Set.

Blue and yellow are one of those timeless color combos and it was perfect for this card.  The frame was die cut in a light blue, then sentiment panel in white.  I used flowers and sprigs from the Geometric Floral Frames Die Set.  The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and a twine bow and some sequins finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Impression Obsession- Birthdays and Die Cuts!

 Hello Again!

We are focusing on die cuts today at Impression Obsession.  Have fun checking out what the design team has made for today- you can find the list of designers on the Impression Obsession Blog.

This month's new release has been chock full of dies!  Lots of them for birthday, and who doesn't need birthday goodies?!?! I am always in need of masculine cards and the new Sm. Candle Die works perfectly.  I die cut the candle out multiple times in peach, orange, light blue and dark blue.  I paired the candles with the gut busting birthday sentiment set, Birthday Sayings.  The background was stamped with Spiced Marmalade Oxide Ink and once dry, I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment in IO Black Ink.  Gotta LOVE it!  The candles were added across the bottom of the card front and the flames were colored with Copics.  A few enamel dots finish this card.

This next birthday card has a vivid emboss resist background~

The Sm. Candle is used again along with the fabulous sentiment die, Big Wishes.  I used the stacked die technique for the sentiment.
The Candle Glows Stamp Set was perfect for this background.  I used Canson mixed media paper here and heat embossed the starburst image all over the background.  Then I used Ken Oliver Color bursts to watercolor the background.  I just love how this turned out.  I made sure to have a candle glow right where my candle flame would hit.  The whole background was spritzed with a shimmery spray.  The background panel was then die cut with the Crazy Stitched Rectangles Die.
I am linking up to The Tic Tac Toe challenge- I have used a diagonal row- watercolor, yellow and large sentiment. I am also linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More for their birthday challenge- happy 9th birthday, ATSM!

Be sure to check out the rest of the inspiration by heading over to the IO Blog!  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Fresh Birthday

 Hello All!

Summer is upon us and this year, that means travelling!  Lots of people out on the road - I just got back from visiting my parents in Florida.  I have not crafted in a bit!

I had to play with my new dies.  Dies are really starting to grow on me!  This is the newest from Spellbinders/Becca Feeken.

So feminine and can easily be dressed up, but I opted for a fresh, playful look!  The Birthday Wishes Vignette Etched die does all of the heavy lifting, including that beautiful script sentiment.  The purple/pink background is  a watercolor wash, ombre fashion.  the green panel is ink blending.  the framing was diecut from white cs and overlaid atop of the colored backgrounds.  I used 6 of the leaf pieces and colored them with Copics and reinserted them into the die cut, in inlaid die fashion.  I needed a little something to give it that finished look, so I colored a little flower from the Love Block Clear Stamp Set using Copics and fussy cut it out.  A tiny pearl for the flower center finishes it off.

I added a embossed panel to the white card base using the Fun Stampers Journey embossing folder, Bubble Wrap.

I am linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More, 'Birthday'.  Happy 9th birthday, ATSM!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

He. Is. So. Cuuuute!  I am a huge dog lover and I colored up Dog Face to look like my shepherd mix, Rudy.

Dog Face was stamped with IO Black Ink on Arches Watercolor Paper and colored with Daniel Smith Watercolors.  He was then fussy cut out.  For the background, I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper with a turquoise blue color.  For the bottom portion, I used the Wooden Plank Cover a Card Stamp and stamped it in brown on a brown piece of cs.  The background pieces were adhered to a dark gray card base and the dog was then adhered, giving the illusion of laying on the floor.  The sentiment, Ruff Day, was stamped in IO Black Ink using the MISTI.  A twine bow and a few enamel dots finish the card.

I am linking up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Animal Shenanigans, and Make the Cards Challenge- Encouragement.

Baby Boy Buggy for There's a Stamp for That

 Hello, Hello!

Today's card is cute and easy!  I should really make more use of patterned paper.

I wanted a vintage'y' looking buggy for this card.  The buggy is brand new from Sweet n Sassy Stamps and is in the Oh Baby Stamp and Die Bundle.  Yes, dies, and I am so glad!  I love to fussy cut, but the one thing I do not like to fussy cut are smooth curves like circles, or the buggy parts in this image!

To get my vintage look, I colored the buggy with E40s Copics.  the blanket was paper pieced.  I die cut a rectangle from the center of a gray piece of cs.  An orange card base was made and then a layer of patterned paper was adhered.  The sentiment was stamped using my MISTI to ensure perfect placement.  The gray frame and buggy were popped up on dimensional tape.  Enamel dots were added to finish the card.

My card is for the challenge at There's a Stamp for That.  This week you have the option of unicorn, sparkle or at least 3 layers.  I opted for the latter.  Join us- you have plenty of time!

Thanks for stopping by!

Impression Obsession 's New Release Hop, Day 2!

 Hello Again!

Welcome back to Day 2 of the Impression Obsession June New Release Blog Hop!  If you came from Laura Williams's blog, you are in the right spot.  If not, head over to the Impression Obsession Blog to start the hop.  Each day (June 7th and 8th) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.

We will be giving away 3  Impression Obsession $25 Gift Certificates; the more you comment (one comment per post per day) the greater your chances of winning!

All comments for each of the hop days will be open until Monday, June 14th at 11:59pm.  Winners will be posted on the Impression Obsession Blog on Tuesday, June 15th.

I am starting out with a birthday card, using some of the awesome new dies~

Goodness, I love these balloons!  I opted for a sweet 16 card so die cut my Party Balloons from white cs and colored them with Copics in girlie pinks and purples. Next, the numbers 1 and 6 were die cut in white using the Big Numbers Dies  and colored in ombre fashion.   For the word 'sweet' I pulled out my trusty Alpha LC Typewriter Die to die cut the letters.

Assembly.  The card mat was stamped with the versatile Starburst Cover a Card Stamp in light pink.  Next, I adhered a monoprint that was made with my gel plate and die cut a circle using the Wacky Stitched Circles Dies. All of the die cuts were then adhered to the card.  The whole thing was adhered to a purple card base and sequins and Wink of Stella were added to finish the card.

Next up, a slimline card made with a new slimline stamp- and its a beaut!

Check out this Pier, guys!  The detail is just gorgeous!  The stamp was placed in my MISTI; I inked up the 'pier' portion of the stamp in brown and stamped it on white cs.  Once I was happy with the inking, I carefully inked up the water portion of the stamp with blue inks.  I did a bit of masking of the inked pier to try to keep the blue and brown inks clean.  Once I was happy with the stamped image, I sponged in the sky with distress ink.  I did a bit of masking here as well at the horizon.  The sentiment, Sea You Soon, is perfect for this image.  I stamped it in dark blue in the lower left corner.  The panel was matted with navy cs and then adhered to a kraft card base.

You can find all of the new release goodies HERE.

The talented Lynda is your next stop!  Enjoy the hop!

How are You Feline?

 Hello, Hello!

I guess I am on a pet kick- yesterday a dog and today a cat.  This cutie is from the Pawsome Pals Stamp Set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.

I did a bit of mixed media for this card-it's nice when bits and pieces come together for a project.  The background panel was in the unused pile- it was embossed with TCW Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste  using a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil.  The blue strip is actually left overs from a monoprint made with the Gel Press Gel Plate.

The flowers, from the Flower Garden Stamp Set and the cat, from Pawsome Pals, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and they colored with Copics.  Both were fussy cut out with my CutterBee Scissors and the sentiment was stamped.  If you are not into fussy cutting the Pawesome Pals Stamp Set also comes with coordinating dies.  To assemble, I used the sketch and colors from the inspo picture and Fusion.  A few SSS Moonshine Sequins finish the card.

I am also linking up to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, mixed media.

Thanks for stopping by and have a  blessed week!

Impression Obsession June Release Hop is Doggone Fun!

June is a doggoned good release!  (see what I did there?!)~

Ever have those cards that no matter how many times you take a picture of it, it just doesn't turn out??  That was this card.  Go Figure.

So many dog images, too little time, lol!  This guy- well, he is just the cutest! He is called Dog with Spot on Eye- and was stamped on Neenah Solar White cs and colored with Copics.  Ditto for the Dog's Birthday Hat.  Both images were fussy cut out.  I matted the image with a monoprint that I made with my gel plate.  It was die cut out with a circle from the Wacky Stitched Circles Die Set. The sentiment, Yappy Birthday was stamped with IO Black Ink and turned into a sign for the dog to hold.  A gray strip of cs and sequins finish this card.

So, I am not sure why Andy Warhol popped into my head, but when I saw this image, he did!  Dog with Bone Collar was stamped multiple times on colored cardstocks and fussy cut out.  The images were mounted on contrasting color cs, Warhol style and adhered to a slim line card base.  The sentiment is from the Party Animal Stamp Set- so fun- and was heat embossed in green ep.  The sentiment strips were popped up on the card front.
All of the new stamps are available HERE.
Lynda is next up on the hop.  Enjoy the hop!

Feminine Congrats!

 Hello and Happy Sunday!

I have been busy, busy, busy, but I took the time to play this afternoon.  I really wanted to use the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the colors at Color Throwdown.

The sweet schnauzer pup is Baxter.  I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored him with Copics.  I stamped the Congrats sentiment and cut it into a sign- fussy cut Baxter, glued him to the sign and backed the sign with turquoise cs.
For the background, I used a Stamplorations stencil and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, then die cut the panel with the Crazy Stitched Rectangle Die.
The card was finished off with a few sequins, including my go to, SSS Moonshine sequins.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Impression Obsession- Old is New Florals!

 Hello, Hello and Happy Summer!

It's June, but feeling like April here!  Not complaining!

Today the Impression Obsession team is taking a look back at some older stamps and showing them some love!  You can see the list of today's participants on the IO Blog.

Florals.  Yep, I can always go for more florals, lol!  To make this card, I followed these steps~

1.  Using my MISTI, I stamped the Hibiscus Bloom 2 and Budding Blossom images in InkOn3 No Line Coloring Fade Out ink on watercolor paper.  I stamped 3 times each to get a good impression in the light colored ink.

2  Color the images with Ken Oliver Colorbursts.

3.  Fussy cut the images out using your CutterBee scissors

4.  Die cut the Small Grass Border from watercolor paper and the Large Frame Die from white cs.

5.  Paint the grass die cuts with Ken Oliver Colorbursts.

6.  Arrange all of the pieces on a light grey card base; determine placement of the sentiment, Enduring Comfort and stamp.

7.  Reassemble all of the pieces and adhere to card base.

8.  Add a few SSS Moonshine sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by; don't forget to check out the rest of the inspiration on the IO Blog.

Beautiful Botanicals from Sweet n Sassy Stamps

 Hello!  Happy June 1st!

Are you as excited as I am!?  It has been a looooong school year, lol.  Happy to be off to do projects, visit my parents in Florida, and, of course, stamp!

The new Botanical Branches Stamp Set is my favorite set of the June Release, which you can check out HERE.

I started by adding an embossed panel to the card base.  Such a cool embossing folder- I used the Diamond Star Embossing Folder from Altenew.  Next, I stamped this amazing berry image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored it with Copics.  After coloring, I fussy cut the image out.

I had a die cut square frame on my desk-it had been stamped and watercolored with yellow distress ink and matched the berries perfectly.  I cut the frame in half and then adhered it to the card base.  The berry branch was popped up on foam tape and adhered to the card.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment, from the Encouraging Thoughts Stamp Set, in Versafine Onyx black Ink and created a sentiment strip.  A few SSS Moonshine Sequins- per usual- finish the card.

I have another card using the same stamp set HERE (my little sneak peek of the set last weekend)!

I am linking up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes and to Mix It Up Challenge, Anything Goes/Stamping

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to June!
