Paper Pieced Faith

 Hi Again!  

A friend has requested more cards with this adorable image and sentiment (sadly, retired).  

I used a sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches for the card~ 

I am also making an attempt to use stash that I have had forEVER.  So, patterned paper it was, plus a scalloped rectangle frame that was in my bits and bobs pile sitting on my desk.  

I paper pieced the girl's clothing. used coordinating papers for the background panels and then stamped the sentiment and framed it with the orange frame.

One Last Slimline for Mom

 Hello and Happy Start to the Week!

I needed one more Prima doll Mother' Day card for a friend who wanted one for each of her daughters.  I needed a bit of inspiration so went with the color challenge at In(k)spire Me.  

I stamped the Prima doll in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I tried to not stamp the hair as I wanted to give this girl curly blond hair.  I added the hair with a Sakura Pigma Micron Pen.  Next, I chose some coordinating patterned papers and did some paper piecing.  The girl was colored with Copics, cut out and clothes were glued on.  

I decided to make a background using a stencil and distress inks.  Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick distress inks were rubbed across a lace patterned stencil and then the inked stencil was spritzed with water using the Tim Holtz Spritzer.  I then flipped the mixed media paper onto the inked stencil and rubbed.  I love the look I got.  

Using the IO Wacky Stitched Circle Dies, I die cut 3 different sized circles from the stenciled paper.  The sentiment, from the snss Precious Poppies Stamp Set, was stamped in Versafine Black Ink.  The doll was popped up on scrap cs and of course, some SSS Moonshine Sequins and some colored sequins were used.

Another Slimline for Mom

 Hello All!  

I am so enjoying these Prima dolls.  It has been a while since I used them.  I have been making Mother's Day cards for a friend at work for her 3 daughters.  I have already made the first card- HERE- and today I am sharing card number two.  

The Prima image is colored with Copics and the clothing is paper pieced and shaded with Copics.  I used my favorite slimeline die, Circle Kaleidoscope Slimline Die,  for the background and added an ombre panel behind it.  For the ombre panel, I started with a piece of aqua colored cs and then sponged Pine Needles Distress Ink at the bottom of the panel and added Peacock Feathers Distress Ink above that.  The center circle is embellished with a wreath from the Cameo Etched Die Set from Spellbinders.  Enabler Alert!  This die set is one of many that are currently on sale/clearance!   

I found some tiny floral sequins in my stash that perfectly matched the aqua cs so I added them to the wreath.  The sentiment is from the Altenew Extra Special Stamp Set.  The girl is popped up on some scrap cs and adhered to the card.    I finished the card off with my usual, SSS Moonshine Sequins.

A Slimline for Mom

 Hello, Hello! 

Still working on Mother's Day cards over here.  This time I used a fun Prima Stamp.  I love coloring people and these Prima dolls are some of my favorites. 

I stamped the girl on Neenah Solar White CS and then picked out a couple of patterned papers to paper piece onto the girl.  The rest of her is colored with Copics.  I did add some shading to the clothing with warm grey Copics.  

I was inspired by the sketch from Stick It Down.  

I sponged some Tattered Rose Distress Ink as well as some Orange Marmalade Distress Ink on a background panel.  After my first light layer of ink, I used a Stamplorations Stencil and deepened the color.  I added the panel to a card base and also added strips of paper down the left had side.  The girl is popped up on scrap cardstock.  

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Black Ink and is from the snss Precious Poppies Stamp Set. A few SSS Moonshine sequins finish the card!
