This Old House is New Again with Impression Obsession!

 Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Old is New with Impression Obsession, where we pull out those older but still fabulous stamps.  I love that this keeps me using things I have had a while.

Today I am using this super cool house image.  First off, I am a sucker for architecture and design, second for fabulous pen and ink work, which is exactly what this image, House with Porch by Gary Robertson. is.

This is pretty straight forward- stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cs and colored with Copics.  It is paired with a sentiment, Wishing You, heat embossed with black embossing powder on vellum.

Head over to the Impression Obsession  blog to see what the rest of the team has to inspire you with today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Berries

 Hello, Hello!

Yep, another Christmas card!  This CAS card uses one small stamp, aside from the sentiment.

The berry branch image in the Spellbinders Home for Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set is so pretty, and was super easy to turn into a large branch just by stamping it multiple times.  Once I had the branch stamped, I drew in the snow mounds with a Pigma Micron Pen.  I used Copics to add a bit of a shadow to the hill in he forground and a bit of a pink sky behind.  The sentiment is from the adorable Holiday Gnomes Stamp Set, which should be back in stock tomorrow (fingers crossed).

For some shine, I spritzed the panel with a shimmery spray and added a few sequins.

That's it for me!  Have a great Sunday, All!

Christmas Ornaments

 Hello!

Today's card is- surprise!- a Christmas card.  I have used another new die from Spellbinders.  Super cute, super simple and make super cute CAS cards~

The set is the Holiday Decor Dies.  The set has your classic Christmas icons- ornaments, snowflakes, and stars.  I colored the ornaments with Copics and added shiny gold ornament holders.  The sentiment is from the new Create a Christmas Sentiment Die Set.  I have used the stacked die technique here.  Some black and white striped paper give the card a contemporary look.  A few sequins finish the card.

Have you checked out the challenge at There's a Stamp for That?  This week your challenge options are llama, weddings or stripes.  I could not believe that I had no llama images so that was out.  Stripes sounded like the way to go this week!

I am linking up to Festive Friday; I have used, red, blue and metallic in my card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Slimline Christmas with Spellbinders

 Hello and Happy Friday!

These Spellbinders projects are coming fast and furious, only because they have released so many great products!  These Circle Kaleidoscope Slimline Dies are the bomb!  I love how versatile they are.  For this card, I just used the ornament portion of the die set.

I used forest green, aqua, and gold mirrored cs for the card.  The kaleidoscope dies really pack a punch and allow for soooo many different looks based on colors selected.  The background has subtle texture that I could not get to photograph; I dry embossed with a stencil.  The greeting is from the new Create a Christmas Sentiment Dies- I stacked several sentiments together for dimension.  Some Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Sequins finish the card.

The snow peeps card earlier this week, HERE, uses the background portion of this slimline die.  Super versatile!  And being the cheapskate that I am, I love versatile!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas Argyle Slimline

 Hello Again!

There are so many goodies to share; today I am back with another slimline Christmas Card.  This time it is all about pattern- argyle- Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Argyle Dies.

This was super fun!  I looked up Christmas argyle to get some color ideas; in the end I had to go with traditional red, green and white.  This was simply a matter of die cutting out the pieces.  I added a few snowflakes, which are from the new Holiday Decorations Die Set.  The sentiment is from that adorable Holiday Gnomes Stamp Set.
I am linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More for their Die Cuts or Stencils Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Best Friends and Impression Obession

 Hello!

Welcome to the Impression Obsession Team Favorites Blog Hop for July!  Boy, there are so many great products for July- I loved everything!  If you came from Laura Williams's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for the start of the hop.

*As a side note, I am so sorry that this post it late!  Would you believe that the post was denied by blogger for going against community guidelines??  It was the exact same post as this one.  As you can see, this is a pretty innocent post!  *

We will be giving away 3 Impression Obsession Grab Bags so the more designers blogs you comment on (1 comment per blog) the greater your chances of winning! Comments will be open until Monday, July 27th at 11:59 pm.  Winners will be announced on the Impression Obsession Blog on Tuesday, July 28th.

This ended up being my favorite project because for me, the boy is my son and the dog is my pup, Rudy.  Dogs really are man's best friend!  The image, Pals,  was colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  I started the background by sponging blue sky and green ground in distress ink.  Then, using my MISTI, I stamped the Grass Border Slimline Stamp with a darker green ink.  I just love the effect it gives with both grass in the foreground and in the background.  It truly is a perfect grass stamp!  For a bit of extra to the scene, I added the Scene Birds Stamp- they really add that little extra something.  I determined the placement of my sentiment, Seven Billion Smiles, and using my MISTI, stamped it with IO Black Ink.  The Pals image was popped up on foam tape.

Your next stop is the talented Vicki!

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

Spellbinders, Slimline and Snowmen, Oh My!

 Hello Hello!

It is Christmas in July!  Do you like to start your Christmas cards early??  Spellbinders has you covered!!! What an amazing NEW release

Snowmen.  I love them, but, I am pretty picky about my snowmen, just like I am picky about my gnomes!  These snowpeeps are winners!  So adorable and fun to color.

They are from the Friendly Snowmen Stamp Set.  They were colored with Copics and then fussy cut out.  I used the new Circle Kaleidoscope Slim Line Dies for the background.  All of the circles seemed perfect for the snow people. In this case, I used the mat panel die and the circle background die, but not the kaleidoscope circles.  The versatility of this die is fabulous!

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Alabaster Ultra Fine Embossing Powder.  A few SSS Moonshine Sequins finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!

Beach Babes

 Hello and Happy Weekend!

I am back with some more summer inspiration; yep, our ladies are at the beach again! This time in slim line format~

These besties, Beach Buddies, were colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  This beach has a palm tree, which is from the Hammock Time Stamp, as well as rolling hills of sand- I used the Hill Landscape Layers Dies to create the dunes.  And they are getting their tans/sunburn from the fabulous Rays Slimline Stamp.  I used the faux watercolor technique for the background, inking up the Rays Stamp and then spritzing with water before I stamped.  I used my MISTI so I could ink and spritz several times.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment, Hello, Friend, with IO Black Ink; several sequins were added.

I am linking up to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge- Lazy Days of Summer, as well as Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Thank you much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Getting Beachy with Impression Obsession

 Hello All!

Today the Impression Obsession Team is having fun with a beachy theme.  Have fun checking out what the Design Team has made.  Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Sadly, this is too much realism anymore, lol!  Except, I won't even wear a two piece.  Who am I kidding- I won't even were a swim suit!
These gals are Beach Buddies and were colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  The ocean was done by sponging in some distress ink (it also went right into the sky), then stamping with the Water Texture Stamp.  I was pleased with how effective the stamp is.  And the Soul Sister sentiment-I love this!  So perfect for that, well, soul sister friend! The beach was just freehanded with lots of E Copics.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the team has to share.

Thanks for stopping by!

Flowers and Spots

 Hello, Hello!

The MOJO has all but vanished, so I sat down to create just for fun.  I had not played along with The Flower Challenge for some time and as I like to color flowers, I thought this would be a good place to start.

Here is their challenge for July~

Another thing I have been wanting to do is start with my background first.  I am always so anxious to color the image that I jump right in, then leave myself little room to play around with a background.  In this case, I stamped the beautiful slimline Poppy Stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.    Next, I started with the Copic E40s and put in a bit of a shadow around the flower.  I added some green in next.  For my spots, this is what I did.
1.  Adhere sticky drywall tape on top of the image panel.
2. Using a paper towel (you could use a cloth too), generously moisten said paper towel with Copic Blending Solution.
3.  Press paper towel onto drywall tape/image.  Be sure that all open background areas of the drywall tape get wet.
4.  Remove drywall tape and marvel at your background! Let blending solution on panel dry.

The image was then colored with Copics.  I wanted the image to really pop, so when I was done coloring, I put the panel back in my MISTI (the stamp was still in place from the initial stamping) and overstamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  I trimmed it down to a mini slim card size and mounted it on a black cardbase.  The sentiment, Have Faith, was stamped in Versamark Ink on black cardstock and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Embossing Powder. The sentiment panel was popped up on dimensional adhesive.
A few SSS Moonshine Sequins finish the card.
I am also linking up to Addicted to Stamps and More for their 'Any Occasion' Challenge,

That's it for me!  Thanks so much for stopping by,

Lee Ann
