Hello!
Happy Summer to you! Summer vacation officially starts for me today! Woo Hoo! Let the travel and crafting begin!
I have the pleasure of guest designing with CASE This Sketch this week. I decided to use the sketch for the multiple thank you cards I needed (end of the year school nurse gifts).
Here is your sketch~
I used this fabulous apple image from Technique Junkies. The design reminds me of mid century Pyrex patterns.
My MISTI allowed me to use multiple different ink colors on the apple image.
I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Border dies for the linear elements in the sketch. My sentiment is from the Technique Junkies Grand Greetings Stamp Set.
Looking to save some money? You can get these stamps and other products including the MISTI, from Technique Junkies at 10% off with code TJ10LeeAnn.
Thanks so much for stopping by and can't wait to see you in the CASE This Sketch Gallery!

Sympathy Peony
Hello All,
Well, I needed a sympathy card. Truth be told I have several in my stash, but I needed the right one. My heart was so heavy in making this card~
This card is for a young woman who, many years ago, babysat my son. She married the man of her dreams; he passed away suddenly a week ago. He was 37. Thirty seven. Thankfully, while she is obviously mourning, she has hope. Hope that she will see him again as she is confident he is rejoicing in heaven with his Savior now. He lived a joy-filled life knowing he was a child of God.
My card is green. I am sure it seems a strange color for a peony, and for a sympathy card. But there is significance to the color green. Green is the color of renewal, of new life. And if we put our faith in Jesus Christ we will have a new life with Him. This young man's death has hit me hard. Friends, we do not know what tomorrow holds. If you have not put your trust in Jesus Christ, call on Him today to be your Savior.
OK, back to the card. The stamp is a Power Poppy image-love, love, love this set. It is colored with Copics. I used a sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments ~
I am also linking up to Power Poppy's May Challenge, Black and White with a Pop of Color.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Coloring, Coffee and Stamplorations!
Hi Everyone!
I have a colorful card, along with exciting news to share today.
My image is from Stamplorations; it is actually a digi image. Yes, as much as I dislike digis, I printed and colored this beauty up because it was for a design team application for Stamplorations. I am happy to say that I was selected as one of three 'color happy' guest designers for a 3 month term. Shery has some absolutely gorgeous floral images and I cannot wait to color them up!
I am linking my card up to Addicted to Stamps and More for their 'Make Your Mark' Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Technique Junkies New Illustrator Hop
Hello!!
We are celebrating a new Illustrator at Technique Junkies Stamps.
We have 10 new stamps from Rita Barakat in the Technique Junkies line! You can see all of the new stamps HERE. All stamps are 10% off with code TJ10LeeAnn!
If you’ve come from Rebecca Parsons' blog, you are in the right place. If not, head to the Technique Junkies Blog for the start of the hop.
Make sure you comment on all the stops along the hop. One lucky person who comments will receive a $25 Technique Junkies Gift Certificate! Comments will be open until Saturday May 19th and the winner will be announced May 20th on the Technique Junkies Blog.
This first card was so much fun to design and color. I used the new Reflections and Floral Border stamps from Rita Barakat. The sentiment is from Wildflowers.
I started by creating a reverse mask of the girl's face- I wanted to leave her hair out. Once I determined where I wanted the girl, I adhered the mask to the panel and stamped the face; my MISTI helped me to get the image where I wanted it. The Flower Border stamp was stamped in a way that it mimics her hair. The Floral Border was added to the bottom of the panel as well, and then masked and stamped again to fill in some areas around her neck. I did some masking with the Wildflowers stamp to get my sentiment.
Then the fun began as I started coloring everything. The only other things I added were a couple of vine die cuts and a twine bow. And some Wink of Stella.
Next up, a little mixed media~
This time I let her keep her own hair! :) The Reflections stamps was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped. I loved the 'dots' in her hair and mimicked it with the Circles Make Circles 'A Colorful Life' Stencil.
The background was made with distress inks; they were smooshed onto my craft mat and spritzed with water. Next, I dragged mixed media paper through the inks, drying in between each pass. Once I had the desired look, I added texture with the Circles Make Circles stencil and clear embossing paste.
Keeping with the circle theme, I cut the girl out with a circle die. Then, Stripes! Had to change it up and added a striped edge. And some sequins. And a heat embossed sentiment.
Now hop on over to Cheri's blog for more new stamps!
Thanks for stopping! Enjoy the hop!

Things with Wings
Hello and Happy Mother's Day!
Quick post for me to share a card made for the Things with Wings challenge at Stamplorations.
I really have enjoyed a stencil technique that Jennifer McGuire shared a few weeks ago. I used it to usher in summer here in St Louis- yes, we kind of skipped spring.
In addition to the stencil I have used three dies to make this simple card.
The Stamplorations Challenge is going on all month~
I am also linking up to Just Us Girls Challenge this week; the challenge is stencils.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Backgrounds for Grads
Hello!
Boy, it is that time of year, isn't it??? Busy busy with babies, weddings, graduations, Mother's Day. AND the end of the school year! Lots of cards to be made! LOL!
So I played around with some distress inks and a stencil, ending up with 3 backgrounds from the process. I used one for this adorable owl graduation card. After all, they are supposed to graduate wise, aren't they?!
So, back to the beginning. I used this Medallions Stencil and distress inks, sponging an ombre background~
There was lots of ink left on the stencil, so I spritzed the stencil with water and used it as a stamp, creating this background~
Lastly, there was lots of ink on my craft mat, so I dragged a piece of pistachio colored cardstock through the ink, creating this background, which is the one I used for the card~
The owl is from the new Technique Junkies set, You're a Hoot. He is colored with Copics and fussy cut out. Once I knew where I wanted the sentiment, which is from the Grand Greetings Stamp Set, I stamped the owl on the background and then added the 'You' diecut and the fussy cut owl. I used my MISTI to position and stamp the sentiment multiple times to get good coverage.
I added Crystal Effects to the sun glasses as well as a few enamel dots.
I am linking this card up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Animal Magic,
as well as Animal Friends Challenge- Stitching. I have used a stitched die.
Also linking up to Try it On Tuesday- Stencils, Diecuts or both.

Celebrating Mom
Hello All!
With Mother's Day right around the corner, I have a few Mother's Day cards using Technique Junkies products to share with you. You can shop and get 10% off your TJ order with code TJ10LeeAnn.
I started with Neenah Solar White Cardstock and a A Colorful Life stencil (Scribble Roses), sponging a background on the right side of the panel. Next, I stamped the stylized roses from the Technique Junkies' Faith, Hope and Love Stamp Set in a light color (Memento Desert Sand) and colored with Copics, using the no line coloring technique- my first time doing this. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I also stamped the image in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in gold.
I added two different washi tapes to the bottom right corner and then used a scalloped rectangle die to die cut the panel. I rotated the scalloped frame 180 degrees around the rectangle and the mounted the scalloped frame and the rectangle to the pink card base.
I added a small pink cardstock die cut fishtail banner and then added the fussy cut roses and leaves, using dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is from the All the Moms Stamp Set. The sentiment is in a single line, but using masking and my Misti, I split the sentiment up into two lines. Some Wink of Stella and sequins finish off the card.
The image, Itoh Peonies, was stamped with white ink on navy cs and colored with Prismacolors. I had a vision in my head of how this would turn out, but it was not happening. I cut the main peony out of the navy cs and then stamped the image a second time on patterned paper. I fussy cut out the flowers that frame the main peony and assembled the flowers onto purple cs. The sentiment is from the All the Moms Stamp Set from Technique Junkies.
For this last card, I used the new All the Moms Stamp Set and paired it with the Lollipop Flowers stamp to create a 3-D greeting for mom.
Had a heck of a time getting a good picture of this.
I used my MISTI to stamp both images. This allowed me to ink up the stamps with multiple colors. Once the images were complete, I fussy cut out the Lollipop Flowers and fussy cut the All the Moms image on two sides.
The images were layered onto a green cardstock background.
I added a few pearls as flower centers. This really turned out beautifully, but as I said, it was a stinker to photograph. To get the green background right, the main images were too bright. Get the stamped images right and the green background was too dark. :( I tried!!!

May Release with Technique Junkies!
Hello, Hello!
Welcome to the May New Release Technique Junkies Blog Hop!
Once again, Pat has outdone herself with this release. Lots of fun new stuff to
create with! All of the May release stamps are 15% off until May 8th. No
code needed, just put your items in the cart and the discount will be applied at
checkout. Want something that is not new release? Use code TJ10LeeAnn
to get a 10% discount on all other items (excluding clearance).
Let's get hopping! If you came from Jeanne Streiff's blog, you are in the right place. If not, you can start at the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog to view the entire hop.
My first card uses the new City Watercolors stamp. And I did just that with it-
watercolored it. I opted for a loose, rainbow colored design.
The second card uses the new Floral Dot Background stamp~
This was watercolored as well, however, using my Arteza brush pens, I colored the stamp itself, spritzed it with water, and then stamped it on the watercolor paper. Once I was happy
with the colors, I stamped the entire image with versamark and clear embossed it.
The sentiment is from the With Sympathy stamp set.
Head on over to Cheri's blog, where she has some fabulous inspiration for you!
Happy Hopping and Happy May Day!
Lee Ann
