Pray Without Ceasing

 Hello All,

Like so many others, I have watched what is going on across the world with shock and disbelief.  I have joined many in the crafting community to honor Ukraine and one of our own crafters with a card using their flag's colors.

It may seem like we cannot do anything way over here on the other side of the pond, but that is far from the truth.  We can pray.  It is probably the most important thing we can do.  Pray.  Pray without ceasing.  God hears our prayers.  They do not fall on deaf ears.  Pray for the safety of all of the innocent people.  Pray that Russia would have a change of heart.  Pray.

I have used the Sweet n Sassy Stamps Stamp Set, Precious Poppies.  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics. The sentiment, which is from the Faith Phrases Stamp Set.  A few SSS Moonshine sequins finish the card.

Edit- we had a beautiful sunny day today and I took the opportunity to take another picture, this time in natural light.

Choose to Bless

 Happy Sunday All!

It can be so easy to hide behind a computer screen.  We all screw up, we all sin.  One thing I struggle with All. The. Time. is my mouth.  I wanted to journal on a recent sermon, which was about blessing instead of cursing others.  And to do it regardless if they cursed me first.  Well, that is completely opposite of how my brain is wired and it has caused me much grief.

I journaled 1 Peter 3:9; Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult.  On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit blessing. James 3:9-10 tells us the tongue is deadly and full of poison. I need God's help in quieting my poisonous tongue.

I was blessed to participate in a Live Bible Journaling Event in the Bible study group I belong to.  I traced some digital flowers onto my page, using a black Micron pen.

To watercolor them, I got out my Lycra water color crayons.  Because this paper does not take water well, I thought that using the crayons would require less water than traditional watercolors, and I was right. I drew in circles in my flower centers and dotted them with a white gel pen.

The title was stamped in Versafine Black Ink using Hello My Name Is stamp set and another set that has since been retired.

I am grateful that even with my poisonous tongue, God forgives me and still loves me.  His love is steadfast.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lee Ann

Oranges

 Hello, Hello!

I love the 'oranges' trend.  I won this wonderful stamp and die set from Hero Arts and started this card-over a year ago!

This card kept getting pushed aside for other things.  Well, I finally decided to finish it this weekend.

The image was stamped with Versafine Black Ink and watercolored with Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  The image was then die cut out with the matching die.  I have been wanting to start using the large volumns of patterned paper that I have, so I found some pretty green paper and paired it with two other green solids.  The sentiment and image were popped up on dimensional tape.  I added a few sequins for sparkle.

I am linking up to Just Add Ink~ I have used patterned paper and layers.

I used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I turned the sketch and replaced the circle with my oranges.

I am also linking up to  Cupcake Card Inspirations Challenge~

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope

 Hello Everyone.

My goodness, this year is flying by.  Here we are, almost to the month of March.  I have been taking a break from crafting, but really wanted to spend time with Bible study and Bible journaling.  I joined the gals at an online Bible Study, Embracing God's Word, and created this page about hope.

Isn't that what everyone wants right now, Hope?  In this crazy, scary, sinful world we can have Hope in Jesus.  That hope brings us Joy and Peace according to Romans 15:13.
The girls in the group used printables to create their flower adorned lady, but I am a stamp girl.  I used the stamp 'Eva' from Unity Stamps.   I stamped her on heavy printer paper with Memento ink and fussy cut her out.  Then I stamped two of the floral sprays from the Sweet n Sassy Stamps stamp set, In This Together, onto computer paper, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out.
Picked RaspberrySpiced Marmalade and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks were used on my Bible page.  I used my Illustrating Bible.
I sponged on some of each of the 3 colors onto my page, then using a Tim Holtz stencil, Flourish, I sponged more of the same colors through the stencil.
The girl was colored with Copics and then adhered to the page. After arranging my flowers, I adhered them as well.
I decided to add a butterfly to the floral spray.  I used the Made New Stamp Set.  I used the same products to color as I did the girl and flowers.  I fussy cut the butterfly out and adhered to the page.
For the title, I used the Choose Faith Stamp Set and the School Days Alpha Stamp Set.  I stamped out my words and then highlighted the words with Black Micron Pen.  I added white dots to the word 'hope' using a white Signo Gel Pen.
I needed a few more leaves around her neck so I stamped some leaves from a PTI stamp set, fussy cut them out and adhered them to the page.
I have linked up to Word Art Wednesday.

Romans 15:13- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Have a blessed weekend, friends!

Last Minute Valentines

 Happy Sunday Everyone!

It is Superbowl Sunday, but this girl is not going to be watching.  Anyone else prefer to go shopping during the Superbowl, knowing you will have the entire store to yourself??  Best shopping day of the year, imho.  Yesterday was a stay at home and organize the craft room day.  It turned into use products I have not used in ages, work on half done projects sitting on my desk and disassembling cards that I did not like to be able to use some of the paper again day.

I ended up making a few more Valentine cards-they are a big seller at work.

I needed some inspiration so I started with the sketch from Fusion Card Challenge.  Today's Valentine critters are from my most favorite Valentine set, Valentine Critters from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.a  The bird was colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  For the long strip, I used the IO Birch Tree Dies; I die cut them from white cs and adhered them along the side of the card (obviously I turned the sketch).  I grounded the bird with a heart die cut made with the Spellbinders A Lotta Love Small Die Kit.  I stamped a sentiment strip, adhered everything to the card and added some sequins.  Wink of Stella adds sparkle to the heart, but you cannot see it in the photo.
I am also linking up to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge-I used left row down, bottom row across, and left to right diagonal.

Next up is this sweet pup.  He was colored with Copics and fussy cut out.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this card.

I die cut my kraft background with a
Geometrical Floral Die from Spellbinders.  I inlaid the geometric frame back into the space, then die cut it again with red cs.  I inlaid the red triangles into the kraft frame.  The sweet sentiment, which is from the Lots of Love snss stamp set was stamped in the aperture.  I tied a piece of twine around the panel, popped up the pup on dimensional tape and added a few black sequins finish the card.

I am also linking up this card to Festive Friday Challenge.  I used the following elements: aperture, stitching, cute, red, hearts.

Lastly, I decided to use some washi tape.  I NEVER use it and frankly, don't know how to use it well.  I searched for some inspiration on Pinterest and came up with inspiration from the amazing Debby Hughes, otherwise known as Limedoodle.

This looks waaaay better in real life; honestly, I just did not want to try and get a better picture!
I placed strips of washi tape on a piece of card stock and then diecut out various circles with the IO Wacky Stitched Circles Dies. I cased Debby's card exactly, layering the circle and then adding a sentiment strip.  The sentiment is from the Love Wordfetti stamp set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Sunday and Happy Valentine's Day!
