New Year 2026

Hello All and Happy New Year!

It is hard to believe we are closing out 2025 (wasn't it just Y2K??).  I am trusting in God's faithfulness and looking forward to big changes in 2026.

I am finishing up my month of guest designing with Creative Worship Stamps and the year 2025 with this card, which uses my most requested sentiment on it.

As I so often do, I watercolored a single layer panel; I used the roses from the Sketched Roses Stamp Set and my Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  And, as I often do, I did not like the results so fussy cut around a portion of the rose to make a partially die cut panel.  I stamped a background with one of the leaf images from the set using a light grey ink.  The sentiment is from the Precious Poppies Stamp Set.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Bold Blooms

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying your summer. Summer is wrapping up here and school just started.  Not sure how that can even be!
I pulled out a Creative Worship Stamps floral and colored it with Copics.  An old background panel on my desk was the perfect backdrop.  Yes, I am still using up bits and pieces in my stash.

The image was fussy cut out and adhered to the background panel.  I outlined the flower centers with a white gel pen.  A sentiment from Stamp Simply was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.

a few clear sequins finish the card.

Trust in the Lord

 Hello and Happy Summer!

I took a hiatus and went to Florida for a month to take care of my father after he spent 3 months in rehab.  I was itching to get back to crafting and it was one of the first things I did when I got home.

I did need a little inspiration to get me going so I used the colors in the Inkspirational mood board challenge.

I pulled out my Jane's Doodles floral stamp set and colored the flowers with Copics.

The flowers were fussy cut out.  I used a watercolored background which had been clear embossed with a retired background stamp from IO Stamps.  Then I used my favorites, Ken Oliver Colorburst Powders to paint the background.

I used a piece of this background on the card base and popped up the flowers on some scrap cardstock and adhered them to the panel.  The sentiment is from Stamp Simply, from the Encouragement Stamp Set.

I am trying to use some of the product that has been in my craft room for years so I added some pearls and enamel dots to the card and called it done.

I am also linking up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Emboss It and Word Art Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Blue Beauty

 Hello Friends!

Every now and again I like to look through images, die cuts, card bases etc. that are in the 'did not use' pile.  This card base has been in my stash for at least a couple of years.  It was time to use it!

Watercolor paper had been, well, watercolored and the green watercolored leaves were die cut with a Simon Says Stamp Die, Outline Clustered Leaves; I kept the negative space leaf shapes.  Then the blue piece was die cut with the same die.  I only used a portion of that background piece.  The white outline was inset into the blue background and then glued down to the card base.  The green pieces were then inset into the outline leaves.

I finally decided that all it needed was a big flower to finish the card, so I stamped and colored with Copics one of my favorites from SnSS, True Beauty.  I fussy cut it out, added some scrap cs behind it to pop it up just a bit, adhered it and then stamped the sentiment with My new favorite sentiment ink, Versafine Claire Nocturne Ink.  Scripture sentiment is from Stamp Simply.

I added a few SSS Moonshine sequins to finish the card.

Rainbow Bridge

 Hello Friends,

I have been in need of pet sympathy cards lately.  I thought about pets going over the rainbow bridge and decided to turn that idea into a card.

I started with watercoloring some simple rainbows.  I used Canson Mixed Media Paper for these.  Once the paint was good and dry, I stamped the pawprints from the Divinity Designs Stamp Set, Paw Prints

The sentiments in the set are perfect for pets.  The sentiments and the pawprints were both stamped with Versafine Claire Ink.  A few sequins finish the cards, including my go to, SSS Moonshine Sequins.

Song Bird

 Hello!

Are you ready for Christmas yet?  Have you moved on from Christmas cards?

I am back to florals and soon Valentine cards.  Today's card use's the sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Challenge.

I finally got this adorable stamp set from SnSS- Song Birds- I had been eyeing for quite some time.  The image is stamped on watercolor paper using Versafine Black Ink and then watercolored with my all time favorite watercolor product, Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders.  I fussy  cut the image out and then decided I needed a bit more foliage so stamped a branch from the Birds and Blooms Stamp set as well and painted it.

The sentiment is from the SnSS Be Still and Know Stamp Set.  I added some highlights with a white gel pen and some sequins for sparkle.
