Splitcoast and Scallops

  Hello Hello!  

Well, we are knee deep in the craziness of a new school year.  Crafting is definitely my escape, I just need to find time for it now.  Already missing those lazy summer months.  

You can escape with this week's sketch from Splitcoaststampers.  I stayed 100% true to the sketch, which is unusual for me.  

My scalloped edge was created with the Rainbow Scallops Stamp from Impression Obsession.  I stamped it 3 times using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.   Using a Black Pigma Micron pen, I added more doodling to the images.  The sentiment, Wildly Capable, was stamped with IO Black ink.  A few sequins finish the card.  Easy peasy!

Spellbinders and Splitcoast

 Hello!  

These gnomes have my heart and I cannot seem to get enough of them.  I have used the newest sketch from SCS for this card.

  

Here is the sketch~

As you can see, I flipped the sketch, but otherwise stayed pretty true to it.  These gnomes are so stinkin' adorable!  They are from the Spellbinders Holiday Gnomes Stamp Set.  They were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Copics.  

After fussy cutting the gnomes out. I worked on the background panel.  I simply added turquoise and red cardstock strips to the white panel and then adhered to the cardbase.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The gnomes were popped up on scrap cardstock and a few sequins were added for shine.

Garden Giggles and Die Cuts with Impression Obsession!

Hello All! 

Today the Impression Obsession team is focusing on die cuts.  Have fun checking out what design team members have to share with you today.  You can find links to all of the participants on the Impression Obsession blog.  

There are soooooo many new dies in the August release, everyone of them cuter than the last!  I think this corny guy (see what I did there?!) just might be my favorite of the new dies.  The die is aptly named 'Corn'.  The coordinating sentiment stamp set is Corn Sayings. 

I die cut the Corn out in colored cardstock, then added texture and shading with Copics.  The sentiment is stamped with IO Black Ink.  The die and sentiment are mounted on the Tag with Reinforcement die cut.  His eyes are from the fun, new, Miss Your Face Stamp Set.  Once I stamped the eyes, I colored in the whites of the eyes with a Signo White Gel Pen. 

I used the sketch #683 at Splitcoaststampers for my card.  Head over to play along! It is my first week of being on the sketch team; kind of feels like a homecoming to me as SCS is really where I started out in the stamping world.  And a sketch stretches me and gets me out of my rut! 

Is this not the CUTEST??  This Tomato Die is irresistable!  Especially with the adorable face from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set. I used the same technique here and for the next card as I did with the corn- die cut from colored cardstock and then shaded with Copics.  The background is done with -you guessed it- my fave, Ken Oliver Color Bursts.  The circle frame is die cut using the Wacky Stitched Circles Dies.  And, the adorable sentiment is from the Mixed Veggies Sayings Stamp Set; it was embossed with Alabaster White embossing powder.  A few enamel dots finish off this monochromatic card. 

Then there is the Avocado!  The process is the same as the tomato card and the sentiment is again from the Mixed Veggie Sayings Stamp Set.  The sentiment was heat embossed with some old SU embossing powder.  It was the perfect shade of green!
