Clover and Chicks and Tulips, Oh My!

 Hello Friends!

After a very busy week, I am working in crafty time this weekend.  Spring is on everyone's brain and my card reflects that.

I pulled out one of my 'spring' sets from SnSS, Springtime.  I colored the adorable chick and then fussy cut it out.  I added greener to the backround, using a PTI die set, Into the Blooms:Clover.  Using distress inks I smooshed on various shades of ink to the Canson Watercolor Paper.

I used another piece of a mixed media panel had on my desk.  I used a technique taught by Jennifer McGuire.  Distress inks in Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean were used.  Delicata Gold Glitz Pigment Ink was used with an old stencil I have in my stash. SnSS's Diamond Tile Stencil and Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink add texture as well.  Everything is framed with a MFT Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Edge Frame Die.

Lastly,  the sentiment is from SnSS Encouraging Thoughts Stamp Set.  A few SSS Moonshine Sequins finish the page.

I used inspiration from the following:

Color Dare Challenge

Festive Friday- I have used gold (Delicata Ink), green, and shamrocks

Soft Colors

 Hello All,

We are looking at another 'snow' day tomorrow with ice in our forecast.  I hope you are staying warm in your neck of the woods!

I am challenging myself and stepping out of my comfort zone.  This card is another card without coloring.  I splurged and bought some goodies from Scrapbook.com and had to play.  I loved this sweet little bird stamp set; it was just a matter of how to make it look good with stamping only.  It is the Feathered Friends Mini 14 from PTI.  I think I need the die...more shopping...

Also outside my comfort zone?  pastel colors.  I struggled with this but had some great inspiration from Just Us Girls Challenge Blog

So I gave it a go.  Stuck with the greys and also loved the aqua from the cat eyes;  I used Altenew's Warm Grey Ink Cubes.  The leaves are from the Altenew Set, Wallpaper Art; the ink is an old SU color.  Lastly, the sentiment is from SnSS, Grace So Amazing.  A few SSS Moonshine Sequins add some sparkle.
I am also linking up to Word Art Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Some Fabulous Inspiration

Hi Everyone!
I an still running short on MOJO, but I found some gorgeous inspiration on my friend Lesley's blog, Always Playing with Paper.  I just had to give it a go!

Blue and white.  Such a timeless combination, you cannot go wrong with it~

While rummaging through my stamps, I came across this PTI set and these stamps that have never seen ink.  I thought the colors in the inspiration photo would work well here.  The card base and image panel are die cut with the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The sentiment is also a SugarPea Designs die.  I added a layer of SU brushed gold cs to the sentiment and as a mat around the image panel.  3 tiny seed beads finish it off.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, but changed the orientation of the card.

Thanks for popping in and have a blessed day!

Welcoming Baby!

Hi Everyone!

Hope your first day of September was a great one!

Have you heard the fun news that Shery, owner of Stamplorations, has had her baby?  She had a little girl, and her team is throwing her a Surprise Congrats Blog Hop!

I made a soft, sweet card for the new family.  I combined several products.  The image is from Our Daily Bread Designs and is stamped in Memento London Fog.  I colored with Copics around the mage to make it pop and colored the stems with a bit of warm grey (Copics).
The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs, as is te 'baby' die which I used the camouflage technique.
The button dies are from PTI.  DP is retired SU.
I used the sketch from RetroSketches~

You can join in the fun too and link up a baby card on the Stamplorations Blog!
Congrats to the new family!

Thanks for stopping by!

One Layer Wreath

Hello Everyone and Happy Hump Day!

Today I took a break from working on my kitchen and family room overhaul and decided to give a couple of challenges a try.

I fell in love with the newest colors from Colour Q ~

I also spotted a card at Muse that I found very inspiring; I have only played that challenge once so I thought I would give it a go.  I have had this stamp since PTI released it and had yet to use it.  I am so uncomfortable with cards that are this cas.  But I was so inspired at Muse, that I felt I could do it.
This is also a one layer card (OLC) so I am feeling pretty good about this!  LOL!
I added a few bitty seed beads for just a bit of bling, and if you couldn't tell, also to cover up the oops that occurred, of course with the last image stamped.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

The Challenge has some Inspiration!

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!

It is time for a new challenge at The Challenge.  This week is an Inspiration Photo week~

My card has a shabby chic feel, which is what I saw in this inspiration~

I used a couple of PTI stamp sets including a Mini Market Kit and the Rosie Posie sets.
My sentiment is Altenew's  Label Love.

I am linking up to PTI's Make it Monday Challenge- 'Stamping with Neutrals', as well as

Allsorts Challenge- 'Flower Power'

Time to check out the rest of the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Have a blessed week!

The Challenge- A Sketch

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!

It's May, it's May!  Hard to believe, isn't it?  I love May with the spring green foliage all around, warmer temps and and thoughts of summer.  But it also brings the stress of trying to get everything done by the end of the school year.  However, there is ALWAYS time for stamping!
This week we have a sketch for you at The Challenge~

I took some liberties with this sketch, as you can see~

I rotated the sketch, moved my panels around a bit, and left the banners off.  I really love how this turned out.  I made this specifically for my mom, who has been in the hospital for 3 weeks.
To start, a border was stamped with the hexagon background stamp from PTI's Rosie Posie.  Then I dry embossed a piece of white cardstock and  diecut it with the polaroid die from SU's On Film Die set.  I took the center die cut piece out and just angled it over the polaroid frame.
I added a bit of cheese cloth for interest under the rose and white twine around the sentiment panel; I have been trying to make cards more mailable these days, so I am limiting the bows and bling!
I am linking up to:
Colour Me... So Saffron, Hello Honey and Cajun Craze
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge,'Anything Goes'
And Just Us Girls- 'twine'

Check out the rest of the amazing inspiration from the rest of the team!~

Then hop over to The Challenge and play along!  Hope to see you in the gallery!

Are you up for The Challenge?

Happy Monday, Everyone!

It is an extra happy Monday here as we are on spring break! I imagine there are quite a few of you out there also enjoying 'the break'.
Lesley Croghan from Always Playing with  Paper has a new sketch and color combo up at The Challenge!

Clearly, I only followed the sketch this week!  I am going to have to give the colors a go as I think they are gorgeous; I think I have just been short on mojo again.
I used PTI stamps and dies along with Studio Calico dp for my card.  I added a few of my favorite sequins, Moonshine, from Simon Says Stamp.
We hope you can play along!  There is a lot more inspiration on the blog, so hop on over and check it out!

Thanks for visiting!

Blessings,

Lee Ann  :)
