Hello Friends!
Today's card was inspired by a challenge at Simon Says Stamp- use your favorite technique. It was just the kick in the pants that I needed to do just that- play around with techniques.
I pulled out my distress inks and non-stick mat and started playing. I love 'smooshing' cardstock into ink so using distress ink in Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet, Broken China, and Seedless Preserves, that is what I did, using mixed media paper. Once I achieved the look I wanted, I used Versafine Black ink and stamped my image-Mixed Florals Slimline Stamp from IO- using my MISTI so I could stamp the image multiple times on the Canson Mixed Media Paper to get a good image. I then hit the ink with the heat gun to heat set it.
The floral design was painted in with Color Burst Powders in similar colors as the background. Using minimal paint allowed much of the background color to show through.
The sentiment is from the Peony Cluster Stamp Set from SnSS. A few sequins were added for sparkle.
I used the colors from the Inkspire Me Challenge.
