As a colorist, I love a great lined image. Look no further that the absolutely adorable Springtime Stamp Set by the talented Jenn Nilsson.
Yes, this is a bit busier than my usual card, but I really love the black outline images as patterned paper. I stamped the bouquet in Versafine Onyx Black ink for a crisp dark image. The boot image was colored with Copics and fussy cut out. Ignore the tiny dot of teal paint (I was splattering another card and the boots were in the way). I knew I was going to make a tag as I was using the sketch from Sunday Stamps. I rummaged around in a discard box and found this stenciled piece of paper that was perfect as a background for the image. I colored some grass and added some sequins and a twine bow. I am also linking up to Global Design Project for the Let It Grow Challenge~
For the second card, I colored the butterflies from the same Springtime Stamp Set in a rainbow of colors with Copics and fussy cut them out.
The background panel was stenciled in ombre fashion and the butterflies were glued to the card in a circular formation. The sentiment was stamped with my MISTI. A tiny clear sequin adorns each butterfly.
Lastly, I used another of the images, the umbrella, for a twins baby card~
I love how this turned out; has a bit of a 50s vintage vibe to it, imo. The umbrellas were colored with Copics and fussy cut out. I added some background patterned paper and a doily to ground the umbrellas and sentiment panel. The sentiment comes from two different sets; the 'welcome' is from the Love Birds Stamp Set and the 'twins' is done with the School Days Alpha Stamp Set.
